Barry Gilkes
would it be at all possible to have an AUX output that became active when the ECU internal knock system detected knock based on knock target and knock settings. Eg to power a warning light or audible alarm
Scott
Hi Barry, This is currently possible. If you set the Aux output up as a GP output you can specify a condition of 'Knock >' or 'Knock <' Cheers, Scott
Barry Gilkes
Hi Scott I am aware that an AUX output can be activated based on a global knock level. However knock control is dependant on may other factors other than just the total knock value. We have to factor in engine load, rpm, engine position , throttle position. Which is why it would be great if the AUX output could be activated based on the status of the knock control system and not just global knock level. Scott
Hi Barry, Thanks for clarifying that. Currently the Knock system status only contains lockout and error information. Am I right in saying that what you would like to see is a way to make an Aux Output become active whenever a knock ignition trim is applied? Barry Gilkes
HI Scott Yep ...you are correct . The AUX output becomes active when knock ignition trim is applied. hahaha why didn't I say that the first time
