Josh Colombo
The help file indicates closed loop lambda control only works with a narrow O2 sensor, or a wideband O2 sensor setup for narrow band output. Is this correct? I ask because there may be some confusion on how this works from the person that tuned the car. Thanks Josh
Simon
It will depend on the firmware of the ECU. G4's have this option available on latest firmware. It is also sometimes confused with the "quick tune" function.
Josh Colombo
Sorry, I didn't specify. I have the G3 Plus running the latest firmware. With CLL control setup enabled I have seen correction percentages on the lambda trim reading. But I'm not sure if it's function the way it should since the help file says it specifically doesn't support wideband O2 sensors.
Simon
On the G3 the lambda was geared for emissions and is not full closed loop. It will do a dither function only. For this function narrow band is all you will need.
