Link Mad Man
Hi, I have a rover v8 running on a LEM v3 Ecu, I just want to make sure the injector ballasts are ok with out any additional resistors, I and running 4 injectors on each injector drive - 8 total. The Factory resistor box is in place and each resistor is 6.2 ohms and are on the positive feed to each injector, and the injectors them selves are 2.6 ohms. Do I need any more resistors in place, on the drives, the manual shows 1 ohm, should I be putting these in place or is it ok because of the resistor box? Â Thanks, Ryan
Jurgen Biggelaar
Hi Ryan. With the existing ballast resistors in place you will be fine. Per injector, I understand you have a total impedance of 8.8ohms? To hang 4 injectors off each drive with an 8.8ohm load from each injector line is OK. No further ballasting than this is required.
