John Doe1436215451 Posted July 7, 2009 Report Share Posted July 7, 2009 I bought a link ecu that should fit my subaru impreza gt my 97. I have got a ecu and a cable with 14 pins. Now the question is what do I need to access that ecu via pc/laptop. Laptop with rs232 port is no problem, I have one. There are 2 pictures of the ecu so can you please say if it fits my subie gt 97 or not and what do I need to get this running. Sorry for my mistypes, I am from Croatia. Simon Posted July 7, 2009 Report Share Posted July 7, 2009 Hi there The first thing I would be checking is that the factory ecu has the same plug as the one in the photos. I suspect being a 97 your factory ECU is going to be a 3 plug unit making this one incorrect for the application. For connection to laptop all you require is one of our Serial Links.
