John Richardson Posted November 14, 2014 Report Posted November 14, 2014 I have an old link plus that I'm wiring up to a Lexus 1uzfe motor. There are three temp sensors in the water jacket and I just wonder if anyone knows if any of them will work with the link unit. The book says that most standard NTC sensors will work but is not specific as to wht sort of resistance value would be best. Of the three on the motor two of them are earth isolated two wire connections one is 30 ohms  and the other is 2.8 k ohms measured t ambient. I have not tried heating them yet so I'm not quite sure if the are NTC but suspect they will be. The third one is a single wire connection and measures 1.2 K ohms to ground. Would appreciate any advice if somebody has wired them up in the past or happens to know the answer. Quote
Simon Posted November 17, 2014 Report Posted November 17, 2014 You want the 2 pin one that is a 2.8K ohms. The single wire one will be a dash sender unit. I'm not sure on the third. Quote
