Updating G4 Xtreme firmware

Hi!

I have today PC Link version 4.5.1.582 and ECU MainFirmware : 4.5.1

Can I update to the latest release 4.9.7 right away  or do I need to 

download older versions (newer than my currently)  to prevent issues ?

Does my pcl file witch is created in version 4.5.1 change itself and needs to be adjusted?

Hi Staffan,

A lot has changed between V4.5.1 and V4.9.7. You can upgrade straight to 4.9.7, but will need check everything in the firmware and PCLink revision notes. It would be worth having a general look over your base-map at the end in case something else has changed. If you save your base-map to your hard-drive and then install V4.9.7 to a different directory you could have the 4.5.1 and 4.9.7 base-maps open beside each other and compare them.
