Kendall Jones
I've got a chassis dyno shop in USA, and have a road race MX5 with the Link ECU. I'm not sure what version / rev I have, but it was purchase from flying miata in USA ( similar to this: http://www.flyinmiata.com/index.php?deptid=4527&parentid;=0&stocknumber;=07-16500%20%209697%20OBDII ) I was doing some maintenance on the harness, and found that Resistors R2 & R88 were burned & Diode D1 was discolored as well. Pic is here : http://jonestechnicalgroup.com//coppermine/albums/userpics/10001/PICT2718.JPG I think R2 & R88 are 2.2 ohms, but I dont know the value of D1. Looks like some type of current limit setup. Does anyone know what these values are, and what purpose they serve? thanks Kendall Jones http://detroitdyno.com
Simon
D1 is a 20V Zener Diode 1watt You are correct for the resistors being 2.2ohms 1Watt. They serve as over voltage protection. Simon
