T4700
Hi,I have a VIPEC V88 ECU in an Jetski.I can not find any documentation about the settings for onboard logging for V88. I only found how to setup triggers for start/stop logging and how to download logs from the ecu.But how can I setup the onboard logging parameters and how many parameters can be logged onboard?best regards
Simon
HiOn the V series units the internal logging parameters are preset and not able to be adjusted.Info from the help file belowWhen operating, ECU Logging stores real time information in the ECUs on board memory. This information can be retrieved at a later date for analysis. The rate at which the data is sampled can be configured as well as when ECU Logging is activated. It is important to note that this is NOT the same as the Vi-PEC Tuning Software logging feature that stores information directly to a connected PC. The following settings are available for configuring ECU Logging: ·Logging Mode - Turns ECU Logging off or on.·Logging Rate - The rate at which all ECU Logging parameters are sampled. Note Hz = Samples per second.·Activation Mode - The source used to activate ECU Logging. ECU Logging also provides the following runtime values found under the ECU status tab: ·ECU Logging Status - The current state of ECU Logging. The following states exist:·OFF - ECU Logging Mode is set to OFF or the ECU is not currently logging.·Logging - Data is currently being logged to memory.·Memory Full - On board memory is full. Delete the stored log files.·Max Logs - the maximum number of log files that can be stored has been reached. Note that this can occur before the memory is completely full.·ERROR:Chip ID - Internal error, contact your Vi-PEC dealer for further advice.·ERROR: Page Program - Internal error, contact your Vi-PEC dealer for further advice.·ERROR Contents Program - Internal error, contact your Vi-PEC dealer for further advice.·ECU Logging Capacity - The percentage of on board memory used. Notes: ·The parameters logged by ECU Logging are fixed and can not be changed.·The maximum number of log files that can be stored is 10.·At lower Logging Rates a delay may be experienced when logging is turned off. This is normal. Two versions of ECU Logging exist:·Up to and including ECU firmware version 4.9.8.·From ECU firmware 4.9.9 onwards. ECU Logging Parameters up to and including ECU firmware version 4.9.8 The following parameters are able to be logged in ECU logging mode: AN Volt 1 to 11Inj timing Anti-Lag Cyclic IdleKnock Count Global Anti-Lag Ign CutKnock Level Global AN Temp 1 to 4Knock Threshold BAPLaunch Limit Batt VoltageMAP CL Stepper LimitMAP Limit Digital Frequency 1 to 6Mass per Cyl (x100) Dwell TimeMax Ignition E-Throttle LimitMGP ECTOverrun Fuel Cut ECU TemperatureRPM Limit Engine SpeedSpeed (DI 1 to 6) Fault CodesSpeed Limit GearTP (Main) GP RPM Limit 1 and 2Trig 1 Err Counter IATUnder Voltage Ign AngleVoltage Limit Inj Actual PWWake-Up Status Inj Duty Cycle (Sec)VVT Cam Position ECU Logging Parameters from ECU firmware version 4.9.9 onwards The following parameters are able to be logged in ECU logging mode: AFR TargetInj timing AL Active Fuel Table (Status)Knock Count Global AltitudeKnock Level Global AN Volt 1 to 11Knock Threshold Anti-Lag Cyclic Idle (Status)Launch Limit (Status) Anti-Lag Ign Cut (Status)MAP AN Temp 3 and 4MAP Limit (Status) BAPMax Ignition (Status) Batt VoltageMGP Boost TargetOverrun Fuel Cut (Status) CL Stepper Limit (Status)Percentage FCut Cruise Switch Mode (Status)Percentage ICut Differential Fuel PressureRPM Limit (Status) Digital Input 1 to 12 (Status)Speed (DI 1 to 6) Dwell TimeSpeed Limit (Status) E-Throttle Limit (Status)Timer 1 ECTTimer 2 ECU TemperatureTP (Main) Engine SpeedTrig 1 Err Counter Fault CodesUnder Voltage (Status) GearVoltage Limit (Status) GP RPM Limit 1 and 2 (Status)VVT Cam Position IATWake-Up Status (Status) Ign AngleWGate DC Inj Actual PWWideband 1 Inj Duty Cycle Inj Duty Cycle (Sec) Setting up ECU Logging The following procedure describes the necessary steps to log information into the ECU on board memory then retrieve it later. 1.Set ECU Logging Mode to On.2.Set the desired Logging Rate.3.Select the Activation Mode to be used. Select the input or output that will activate ECU logging.4.Turn on the input or output that activates ECU Logging. Note that the ECU Logging Status runtime value will change to Logging while the ECU is storing data to memory.5.Turn the input or output off to stop logging.6.Download the log file for viewing. Setup Hints: ·A spare Auxiliary Output set to GP Output can be used to allow ECU Logging to be activated under a combination of conditions.·Wire a switch to a Digital Input and set that input to GP Input to activate logging using an external switch. T4700
Thanks,my missunderstanding came from this sentence from the help:"The following parameters are able to be logged in ECU logging mode:"(thought I have to choose 25 from them)So if I get you right, all these parameters above will be logged if I start ECU logging on V88?!
