Adamw
Hi Car Skyline R33 GTSTECU: Link PNPCar is standard OE , Nismo Thermostat, set to 0.9 bar max BoostPCLR File AttachedQuestion1:Curious as to why the Boost Target Table is set to start for 1 bar to 2 bar , 0-100% Throttle; I was expecting it to start at lower boost than 0.8 and work its way up to 0.8 bar at 100% throttle? In our base map the boost control is setup as open loop. So you will have to ask whoever set your boost control to closed loop why they set up the table this way. It would be more common to just use a 2D table with RPM as the axis for closed loop. Question2:The engine light keeps coming in on WOT (Wide Open Throttle), Will the check Engine light be triggered when knock is detected ? I have 57 counts of Knock Detected in the Status windowIs Error 19 the cause , Analogue Input AN 4 -- Lambda -- Above error High Value Your tune file doesnt have a proper CE light set up. On aux 7 (which conects to the CE light, you have a GP Output labelled "CE light MAP & ECT". This is set up to turn on when ECT is above 102°C or when MAP is above 230KPa. So I suspect your MAP is going above 230KPa at WOT.The error/fault settings are not what you are showing in your snip. Analog fault settings are found in the analog set up area as below. Your high error is already 4.99V so the question I would be asking is why is your lambda controller sending out a signal higher than 4.99V? Most controllers only do that during error conditions... Q: Fuel PressureCar has very high Fuel Consumption , not too sure if the Nismo Thermostat is the culprit because it is lower opening temp,If I install a fuel pressure sensor, is fuel pressure part of the model and will it be compensated for?Nismo Low-Temp Thermostat allows the radiator valve to achieve a lower temperature opening at 62C (Standard = 76.5C) Your warm up enrichment table is still adding a little fuel at 62°C (<1%) so you may want to fix that table but I dont think that is your main problem. Judging from the rest of your settings, the engine just hasnt been well tuned.Fuel pressure can be compensated for automatically if you use the modeled fuel equation. At present your map is set up with the traditional equation.
Jellytots
Thanks for the feedback Adam , have a few things to check
Steve
Boost target is set like that to make for a more predictive drive. No point in full boost when you have only say 50% throttle. The pedal is your torque demand switch and that target table makes for a more natural behaviour..Of course the rest of the boostcontrol needs to be tuned correctly...Edit. Of course im talking about the principle of setting the boost target table up over tps. Not the actual numbers in it. CamB
What do you mean by this?Car is standard OE , Nismo Thermostat, set to 0.9 bar max BoostIs that the wastegate pressure? Question for the experts - is there any point in a boost target (in the above case, 1 bar) so far below the wastegate spring (particularly with boost control active from 50kpa, which seems way too low)? I guess maybe it doesn't matter for this example as the integral clamp is only 3%, but generally?
