Gear detection with high stall convertor

Hi all,

I’ve run through the auto setup for gear detection and it works well. I have a high stall convertor and find I can fool the gear detection when loading the convertor(it thinks it’s a lower gear) what’s the best strategy to mitigate around  this?. I guess I would need to enable to Link to calculate slip rpm by tapping into the TCU turbine speed signal? I currently only have wheel speed connected.

Regards Matt

Hi

That will be a hard one to resolve as the ECU calculation relies on no slip between the engine and wheels.

To allow for this you would have to be able to monitor the slip across the stall converter. Which firmware wise we are not able to do currently.
