what can adaptor have you got? can you send a link to it?
-
You need to download the software for the can analyser and use it to change the internal Baud rate of the Can apaptor to match links
-
I've got it working witha CAN adaptor and Pumkin head unit. I could do with some help making a custon CAN stream though as I'm currently using "Generis Dash" and I want to view items not included in that stream

Can you not do closed loop boost control and use the target boost table and have one of the axis set to tps?
-
I might have a dig through the my paperwork that came with the car to see if I can find anything on the pistons as I can remember seeing something for con rods . Thanks
-
That's what I was thinking. Since the engine has been rebuilt at some point and forged pistons fitted how accurate does the actual CC value have to be? I bought the car with the engine build so not sure if the bores were opened up and slightly oversized pistons were fitted.

I'm getting rid of the standard 540cc side feed injectors on my GT four and will be upgrading to a set of new bosch 1000cc top feed injectors. Since I've fitted an adjustable FPR, fuel pressure sensor and am going to have to redo my fuel map anyway will it be better switching to modelled fuel as I'll have all the injector data required?

I've got my boost control set to a pretty solid 15psi in open loop so I thought I'd have a go at closed loop but for some reason it was just trying to reduce duty cycle at 12psi by the max clamp. Is the boost target an absolute value? So I should be aiming for around 30psi abs to get 15 psi mgp?
-
Thanks, I was trying to type "none" and it wouldn't recognise it
-
I realised tha everything passed "0" should be negative numbers after I took the pic

I work in PSI and have a base fuel pressure of 50 (vacuum hose removed) so would this table look about right? I can't get it to go 2d for some reason
-
is there a way to incorparate fuel pressure into a 4d fuel trim to allow for the slight vaiations I see over time to make my fueling more accurate?

From memory I think the pump operation is quite basic. It runs at 100% up until a certain road speed then switches to a lower setting (maybe through a resistor i'm not 100%) I know that's how they controlled there fuel pumps at the time. I'd assuming there's some sort of valve in the rack that lightens the steering if the pump speed gets above a curtain point

I've got a MK3 MR2 power steering pump and wiring loom I'm hoping to use with the Link g4X pnp to replace the mechanical power steering on my celica GTfour. I'm a while awy from fitting it though but would be interested in how you got this system running so I've got something to compare to.

Yeah, I can confirm mine didnt store the code and just vanished when the ecu was reset. Looking at the datalog it appears it was an analoge voltage going higher than it should.
-
I've just done a 4 hour drive down the country and the CE light came on. As I had no laptop I had no way of reading the codes and once I turned the engine off the fault had gone. Now it looks like it was due to my EGT going of or my set range but it would be nice if the code was stored until reset, just to give me an idea where to look through the logs.

I've installed my Can / Lambda unit and can get to the point where I can see it in the Can devices list, however it doesn't register any values and in the runtime values shows "Lambda error" I'n the "can" section of the runtime values there are no errors reported
-
Is there a particular type of cable that should be used for can wiring?
-
So I've finally had enough of trying to find out why whenever I have a high electrical load the ecu needs to add as much as 10% fuel correction in closed loop to say on the desired lambda. I'm hoping the problem is my analoge widband so I've orderd a Can/Lambda module.
My Question is I alread have a 4 pin connector which used to be for the stock narrowband sensor which has 12v, ground and 2 cables feeding back to the ecu (originally signal and heater switch). Can these be used as canH and canL or will there be problems with interference as they are ran with the rest of the cables in the engine loom?
If I can use them is there a type of cable that should be used which connecting Can modules? I'm an electrician by trade but have no experience of this typr of system. -
I understand if a pressure sensor is absolute the you need to account for that in the calibration table. What i was wondering is if there's a way to subtract the value from the built in Baro sensor to account for changes when not at sea level instead of simply just removing 1 bar?
-
Great, I've had a different Honeywell pressure sensor ordered for ages now but I've been waiting 6 months now so I've given up. Although I can theoretically get cheaper sensors I know this will be ready to collect tomorrow and I've got a 4 hour drive that I want to do some logging with.

Could someone tell me if the following sensor would be suitable as a fuel pressure sensor (petrol) and what calibration values I should use when setting it up

I'm trying to figure out what causing the random disconnetions when using my Mac/parralels I've emailed their technincal department and as expected they deflected and pointed the figure elswhere. Could someone from link have a quick read through this so I can back to them please?
Hello David,
Thank you for contacting Parallels Support.
From your email, we understand that you are facing issues to use Link ECU.
We checked the screenshot and unable to find any issues. We request you to contact Link ECU and check if their product works in a virtual machine. We understand that you have tested it in a Windows PC but unlike a PC, a virtual machine is running in an application on a macOS which has limitations.
Let us know if you have any additional questions.
Thank you for your time and cooperation!
Modelled fuel equation values seem high
in G4x

Could someone have a quick look at my setup for Modelled fuelling? I've just swapped in a set of 1000cc injectors, I'm running a fuel pressure sensor and a differential of 4bar. I was going to use 3 bar but for some reason my FPR wouldn't go low enough when in vaccum when set to 3 Bar diff pressure I seem to be getting really high number in the VE table and I'm starting to think I've missed something
