if it's a 2 wire sensor most likely it's a reluctor and doesn't need any power running to it.  One wire would be signal + and the other signal -.  You have a 50/50 shot of it being in the correction orientation and it may work even if it's wrong depending on what edge you use to trigger.  You would most likely need something to boost the signal as at low speed the signal coming from it won't be enought to trigger a digital input directly.  Is that what the dakota digital device is supposed to do?

You will need to set up a custom CAN message to send EGT to the dash.  I can do that for you if you like.
Attach a copy of your ecu map and dash config file.

Typically you would use CAN if you needed multiple EGT's, so you dont use all of the analog inputs.  If you only need 1 EGT then analog is probably better value.

    Yes, something like this example:

Please attach a copy of your map and a log of it idling, we can only guess with no info provided.  If it is in closed loop mode and all idle conditions are met then the valve would normally move to whatever position is needed to achieve the correct idle speed, adjusting base position shouldn't change anything unless it momentarily jumps outside of one of the lockouts.  There is also a minimum and maximum clamp value that will prevent the DC going outside of the set range.

Your set up all looks ok to me I expect it will work.
The wastegate DC in your screenshot is showing 0% most likely because you are below the MAP activation.
Next time have a look at the parameter "Boost Control Status", this will usually give you some good clues to what the boost control function is doing.

Can you attach your map and possibly a short PC log.  Aux 1-8 is fine for boost control.
