Here is a base file with some canbus info from a E87, I am pretty sure it is the same as E90.

G3 Linkplus

I think you will need to upgrade the G3 to G4 firmware as I dont see any way to configure the CAN output in the old G3 software. There is a cost associated with this, you need to purchase an "upgrade code" from a dealer, to give you an idea it is about NZD$230 in NZ. Your ecu will also most likely need a small hardware mod to enable the CAN. We can send you instructions to get it done locally or you maybe able to do it yourself if you are capable with a soldering iron (or it is a free of charge service if you want to send back to us in NZ).
Note also the G4 doesnt have any CAN receive capability (only transmit) so you will be able to send data to the dash for display but you want be able to use the Toucan touchscreen "buttons" to activate anything in the ECU.
Could you send the hardware mod for the g3 plus to me also please?

Was doing some testing and raised the rpm limit a bit. But then it stopped working. Revved the car far past the limit.
I see the injector duty on the logs show over 100% so I wonder if this fault is still in the firmware?
Here are some logs and the map from the engine. (BMW s54 with compressor).

M50b25tu is on/off vanos.
M52b25tu is variable vanos (and ethrottle)

You will get the unlock code from the distributor that sold the ECU new.

Is it possible to get access to inj 7 and inj8 on the plug and play ecu?

Maybe this new AEM 22 channel could be a solution: http://aemelectronics.com/files/instructions/30-2212-22-Channel-CAN-Sensor-Module-Instructions.pdf cost $350usd.

Integrale8v, race jase: Did you ever get this issue sorted ?
I modified the trigger, so it had 6 teeth on the crank and cam sensor.
Works okay, but not perfect when starting.

A quick follow up here. This was just a stupid mistake by me, I just used the timing gun on spark wire when testing for spark.
And when in direct spark the lamp would not flash. Maybe because of some filtering in the lamp on the low rpm.
-
The thermostat can be controlled with a PWM table I have done this on M52tu engine, should be the same on this.
For wheelspeed I am 99% sure you can just connect to the Canbus and use the "Mini mode" on the Canbus in Pclink. Many of the ABS units in BMWs send on the same adress.
Since you want 2 egt and 2 lambda the cheapest and easiest option would be the Thunder in my opinion also.

Sorry forgot that. Tried to change trigger edge etc but no luck.

Hi.
I am trying to start a LS2 engine with 24x trigger using the LS1 5-10 trigger setup. RPM is steady/stable at 130rpm, this sounds correct.
But no spark when choosing Direct spark, in wasted spark the coils fire as they should.
What could casue this? When disconnecting the cam sensor there is no spark in wasted mode either.
Tried the other LS option but none of them give RPM reading.
Here is the map and trigger log.

Can you show us how you calculate this? Maybe snart Excel sheet?
-
How is your trigger filters adjusted? If they are same as in the map you posted. Set them lower.
The MAP in the log seems okay for me, between 45 and 50 when idling.
-
Edit: remove the phase tooth that is closest the phase sensor. And report back when you have tested some more.

There is no need to modify the cam trigger works perfectly with 2 teeth.
He is running 36-1 multitooth / missing then he needs to have only 1 home tooth.
If he had been running with the stock 4 tooth wheel it would be okay in the "Ford Cosworth rs500" mode.

This is just PID and tps calibration issues. What TPS is the main? The throttlebody TPS must be set up as main.
-
The PID was not as I sent in the picture. The jumping up/down was due to this. Here is a editet map. I set down the P a bit just in case. This may cause slow reaction but best to start with it low and raise it.

Yes you can do this with all springs also, but if you get the overheating error you must remove springs.
On this engine I ran it for a long time with all 6 springs without problems, I just removed them because I have had problems on other S54s.
cheers

Yes just hook it up to an Aux, set it to PWM and adjust the duty. (use injector duty cycle as axis)
