Have tryed these the car does trys to run and i have noticed that the ecu shuts down after the trigger one error.I disabled ignition and fuel then wound it over takes a while to error .id rekon a couple revolutions before it errors then soon as it does the ecu resets causing my misfire I guess
I have ordered a brand new crank sensor uyst in case bith old ones test equal though

trigger one and two both yes and i have an rpm signal
thinking maybe a short ?

have a trigger one error
was cruising other day got a bad miss had to tow her home was like back firing thru intake
have copied a file if you could take a look replaced crank sensor with another second hand one same issue
both read same when ohms tested don't think its faulty i did poor water over rad as fan wasnt working it wasnt boiling hot just replaced twin fans with one and went to test and had a few traffic lights to got thru so wanted it cooler but i thought water may have got in sensor wiring but tryed drying it out didnt work, new plugs, tested coils couldnt do igniter sparky rekoned most people cant test em ?
cheers for your thoughts

Hi guys a running a evo wasted spark setup on my turbo valiant and have been told the spark will be running out by 6000rpm is swapping out to cool in plug worth it and is it a rewire and tune process or can it be a modified waste spark and will it improve the spark much and who has done this and had some real time results
Cheers for any help

thanks guys has worked a treat with a little time and getting the understanding through my head

hi guys i cant see my idle air valve in the throttle body so i have tried and measured it seems to be OK no going crazy of late
haven't been on a good drive yet .the idle still hangs a little and i was thinking the steeper motor takes time to adjust is this perhaps why its a little slow at dropping to idle it seems to be better will try some more work on it tomorrow
question so what Andrew is saying is set the idle low thru open loop. "IE stepper set to 300" idling at 750rpm-ish then switch to closed loop and the adjust to desired idle speed say 900rpm and perhaps 294 stepper setting with a max clamp of 305 ? should the operating temp stepper setting be max clamp ie closed is this the reason the throttle posistion set to 0%
with the RPM lock-out the manual says about 150 is good Andrew is 3-400 how does this effect idle as mine was on 2500rpm previous is now about 400 i think

hi guys as above if you could help please.my tuner had disconnected the idle controller as it was uncontrollable seems to think boost is moving it .my last motor i had setup to open loop control this seemed to work ok. but i have not tried this yet with my new engine ..i have just reconnected the idle controller and it has gone fine for 2 days but tonight it has started to hold up again and the other issue i seem to have is the revs returning to idle slower than it would or should

Am running an g4 extreme edelbrock air only throttle body with gm style idle air on a valiant hemi 265 ive actually got 2 issues as why I have 2 posts. sorry but away at the moment not back till next weekend
stepper motor idle control

Have curently unplugged my gm style idle air as it keeps randomly idling all over the place after a run.like 2-2500 rpm if you turn the engine off itll reset till you drive it again tuner thought it was boost moving it but if unplugged boost would it not still move it and it'd effect the idle ? I did have some success with open loop control last time .but have not yet retried this since getting the car back from the new engine and dyno tune as I have been very busy and am now away on vacation any idea's please i want idle control for warm up etc
cheers Ross

Hi guys seems mainly on cruise the idle seems to hold maybe about 5 seconds before returning to idle
so if you cruise upto the lights it'll hold up while u sit there so I quite often have to ride the clutch till the idle drops back this sucks any idea's

have been tuning is running e85 at the moment but has some lean spots around 3-4000rpm upto 22afr under deceleration and the fuel map graph is ugly what do you think
cheers
