    cold start help

Hi guys Attached my ecu file for this car. Which value do I need to increase please: Problem: On cold start, car starts on first swing, I checked the AFR and it was 16.5 which is VERY lean , but only for like 5-10 seconds, then all of a sudden idles smooth and AFR is at 11.5 which is perfect, so pre-crank, crank enrichment is fine. I tend to believe I need something more or better in post start enrichment or warm up enrichment? Many thanks in advance Edit; Perhaps the Post Start enrichment table ? 2018-09-13-3.pclr
  2. problem sorted after MAP calibration and CORRECT MAP sensor selected (which became available after firmware upgrade), Many thanks !
  3. Hi Guys We have a Skyline R32 with a G4 ecu unit installed. Upon checking it out, we notice that this is a "MAF" configured ECU. We would like to use MAP and not MAF, do I need a firmware file from you guys ?
  4. Good day guys Quick question. The base Map file that is included with the program, how safe is the " Ignition Table 1" configuration that is programmed by default? My logic tells me that Link ECU guru's that do the programming will put an overly safe Ignition table for the Base MAP ? Kindly confirm ? The car I am busy with has such a loud exhaust and can't find a proper spot for an aftermarket knock sensor to monitor. This is now for a 2002 Subaru WRX STI (V7) ... Next we need to check a R32 Skyline
  5. Where do I find the firmware please for my ecu ? Sorry, I see now, the firmware comes with the PC link updated version, will download latest one available and do that thank you
  6. FFS ..... Knock knock .... whos there? Dumb ... Dumb who ... Warchild you dumb ASS !! Thank you
  7. This car is at the coast yes, what must be done to calibrate the UNIT ? Attached my current ecu config file 2018-09-12-subaru-sti-2002.pclr
  8. Hi Adam My An6 is 1.61v ???? My ecu as per Link ECU invoice is : 229-1000 WRX9+ , Subaru WRX & STI V7-9
  9. LOL thanks bud, I thought the same thing 5 minutes after my post ... could you perhaps help on the MAP sensor calibration issue ?
  10. Hi Richard I click on the top menu bar "ECU Controls" and then on the bottom " MAP Sensor Calibration" Then under my AN Volt 6 - MAP Sensor I have selected the " Link 3 Bar" and MAP sensor type. AN6 Error Low = 0.05v AN6 Error High = 4.95v An6 Error Value = 100kPa Sensor works 100% yes, changes in value when blowing or connecting it.
  11. Good day guys Please assist with the MAP sensor calibration. I bought the Link ECU map sensor (3 bar) part number 101-0069 MAP3 with my ecu I noticed while mapping, the Boost controller (GFB) and the ecu fuel/MAP table BOOST does not compare 100% So I just turned on the ignition to compare the reading of both the boost controller and the line ecu I noticed that while the car is just ignition on, not started, the GFB boost controller shows -0.09 which is fairly close, but the link ecu MAP sensor shows 32Kpa I tried doing the built in MAP sensor calibration, while the ignition is just turned on, but the error message pointed to the fact that the MAP sensor reading must be less than 0.5 I think Any ideas ?
  12. Hi guys Please assist My 2002 Subaru WRX STI have a weird starting issue, IT SEEMS when cold as it started the past two days doing it. I have installed a brand new Rally SPEC bottom end ordered from Subaru JAPAN. Before this my engine was a 93mm bored folly forged motor (incase it makes a difference) I have been mapping the car this past week as the AFR is way out. Like this morning I started the car, and started first time no problem. So no cold start issue it seems. I wanted to calibrate my MAP sensor and I had to turn the engine off, turn on the ignition and then do the MAP calibration. Tried starting afterwards and it just swings and no start?? I had to push start the car to drive off Last night when I started the car, I think I was too quick to release the ignition key, car barely idled and died. Tried starting again directly afterwards, and just swings and no start as well, took me 5 minutes to eventually start the car ... Please help ?

    Help

Hi there To set up and test your throttle (TPS) you click on the top menu tab button "Ecu Controls" and then select "TPS Setup" This will ensure your ECU reads the Throttle(TPS). Make sure when you press the accelerator down 100% that the thottle opens 100% on the throttle body. Then after the step I have explained, the Throttle (TPS) is calibrated. For the best way to calibrate your injectors, remove one injectors and verify what the injector make and model is, you can google the info and get the calibration info you need. Then click on the left menu "Fuel" and then "Fuel Setup" and then "Injector Setup". Click again ion the sub tile "Injector Setup" where you will find the "Injector Dead Time Table" and insert the info you received from the Google search.
  14. Brad thank you so much for the excellent help you have provided, much appreciated. I know what needs to be done, I just needed support on HOW to do it WITH LINK ecu, and your help was fantastic ! I have spent US$ 15000 on the car and don't want to take chances on the car. And Steve ... thank you ! Brad, did you meant turn off "Overrun fuel Cut" or is there a "decel fuel cut" somewhere other than under the "Fuel" section ?
  15. Hi guys, please assist where possible Car is a 2002 V7 JDM WRX STI. Fully modified car, BX550 JP Turbo, 1000cc injectors, and ALL other mods on the car. Boosting 1.9 BAR boost 1.) On the Fuel Table I have my 8000rpm on top from left to right which is 100%, but I only have up to 160kPa from top to bottom as usable. How can I get my full 1.9 BAR map to show or is it limited to 1.6Bar ? 2.) I have an issue when we accelerate, the car runs lean and then respond according to the fueling we have set. I think our pump acceleration is not correct, what can I change this to to make it better? 3.) We still have no control over the idle of the car, no matter what we set the idle control motor to, no difference, we had to pull timing on the idle cells to het the idle to 1000 rpm where we want it, no big deal, but see if you can get the problem in the attached pclr file 4.) The stock Narrow band AFR sensor still does not "work", I get incorrect AFR readings. We have an Innovate Wide band on the car, will have to hook that up to the ECU later. 5.) Please assist with correct settings for the Anti Lag , because when I configure it, I can't accelerate, it bogs etc. 6.) Please assist with correct launch control settings. I get it working no issue, just want professional assistance 7.) Then, on deceleration at high RPM, lets say 5000 rpm and higher, I would like to get some flames out the back, assist please with some suggestions 8.) Lastly , for now, when we start the car when it is cold in the morning, she starts first time, but like for 5 seconds the car idle dips VERY low, stall some days, and after 5 seconds or so, idle fine, What could it be ? Many thanks guys ! 2002-jdm-wrx-sti.pclr
  16. Hi there Have you tried getting someone to help you with a multimeter to monitor the voltage on the fuel pump when you drive and get these issues. I have read through all the great help suggestions and the next couple of things come to mind: 1.) You have a voltage drop on the fuel pump which is causing the fuel pressure drop at thise conditions you complain about. 2.) You might have a collapsed fuel line/pipe that is causing starvation when the pump tries to pump a higher volume ( this is normally at high rpm/boost) but check
  17. Guys Please help. For the Innovate Wide band AFR kit installed, what is the difference on the Bosch 4.2 and the Bosch 4.9 sensor ? Which one to use when ?

    Exhaust flames

Hi Guys As part of an advertising day, I was wondering if you can give me some help on changing settings so that when we rev the car , some nice flames will scream out. Same maybe for driving, and shifting gears to spit some bad boys. All part of an idea for the day when we do some advertising on the cars, showcasing Link for the Subaru's and Nissan's we build. This is now for a Subaru specific.
  19. LOL, Glad it is not just mine ! Many thanks, will do !
  20. Hi, so sorry, My tables are 0 ?? So weird. I have a STI V7 to configure, can I use the V8 VVT, they are similar ?
  21. Hi there! Like I stated, I do not have any default values, my values are all 0.
  22. Hi guys Could someone send me some configurations and some tuning advice on the VVT setup for the Subaru EJ20, specifically EJ207 motor if there is? Under my ECU Settings, VVT Control, VVT Setup I seem to have the defaults in there.Cam control mode is Subaru AVCS EJ20.PID Setup default, RPM lockout is 1500rpm, ECT Lockout is 20, Inlet and Exhaust Centerline display is off, Active inlet and exhaust table is set to 1 table The actual place where I seem to need settings is the VVT Inlet target table, which is 0 all round the while table, which is surely the most retarded (safest) position. Many thanks in advance
  23. Hi ! You do know about the oil level problem on these engines? The dipstick "level" is wrong ...
  24. Hi there bud You would need some det cans or electronic knock sensors to get the correct knock level for your motor. However, from what I can see, you seem to have WAY too much timing The safest thing for you to do right now is the following: 1.) Check on what RPM range your BOOST comes in. 2.) If your boost comes in at 4500 rpm and you are running lets say 1 bar boost, you need to take timing of 8-10 degrees away from there all the way to redline and max boost
