Cefiro
Can anyone point me on the right direction for a start file/base tune for a non vvti 1uz, running a monsoon g4x with a coil on plug conversion using the standard 12-1 trigger
Adamw
There is a 1UZ base map in the G4X software. It is from an atom but it will be converted to monsoon when you load it into your ecu. Just change the ignition mode from twin distributor to wasted spark. Cefiro
Is that base map for the vvti or non vvti 1uz
Cefiro
I’m also not running the original cam sensor

Trigger mode will need to be changed as you have a 12-1. Mode will need to be multi tooth missing.

Note the non VVT 1UZ is not 12-1 in stock form, it is just 12 evenly spaced teeth on the crank. The G4X base map that I suggested you use is already setup correctly for this. With a 12 evenly spaced tooth crank wheel you will need the cam sensor, there is no way it can work without it. If you have modified the stock wheel to 12-1 then it will be ok without a cam sensor but you will need to change the trigger setup in the base map as suggested by Simon. Cefiro
i Think I did add some confusion by mistakingly saying I’m running a 12-1 trigger, I’m running the standard 12 tooth wheel with all equality spaced teeth, I have contemplated getting a 36-1 trigger wheel from the vvti 1uz but If there was a way to modify my standard 12 tooth wheel for the time being I would go for that option
Simon
To use the stock wheel without a cam sensor the option would be to remove 1 tooth to make it a 12-1 wheel
