Hadleigh101 Posted April 5, 2020 Report Share Posted April 5, 2020 Hi there ive got a speed sensor off a Toyota r154 gearbox (3wire) im trying to use this signal to run a Nissan s14 speedo is this possible? if so should the speed sensor signal wire be wired to digital input then use a Aux output to power the speedo? any help would be great. Adamw Posted April 5, 2020 Report Share Posted April 5, 2020 The Nissan speedo's generally require an AC signal (i.e. voltage must go above and below zero) to work, the ECU can only output a DC signal. You can try using the basic decoupling circuit below to produce a pseudo AC signal, I have used it with success on a skyline before so hopefully will do it.
