Davehb
Hi, I am trying to install a trans Temp sensor on a monsoon G4X. I have built a cal table from Ohms to Deg C, but i can only get the anolog inputs to see volts in not ohms? i have done this on the G4+ a few times with no problem, what am i doing wrong? Thanks in advance Dave
dx4picco
it depends on what kind of input you plug your sensor in. if it is a regular analog 0-5v input you need to build your own pull up system and fill your cal table with volts. if it is a temp imput with integrated pullup you should be able to put ohms in the table. Adamw
You need to set it up as a "GP Temp" input, not "GP Analog". Also you might just be viewing the wrong parameter. ie. if I have gearbox temp sensor connected to AN Volt 3 and assigned to GP Temp 1, then to view temperature I need to look at the parameter "GP Temperature 1 - Gearbox Temp", if I look at "Analog 3 - Gearbox temp", this will be the raw voltage. Davehb
Thanks I will look at it later. I would run a 0-5v sensor except for space limitation on motor bikes. I found the G4+ easier but it will be just a case of familiarity. One other thing... i notice the cal table wont accept numbers greater than 1500 is there a way around this? Adamw
Can you tell me what you are trying to do? What temp sensor are you using? What input is it connected to? What temperature does it need to read to?
Davehb
I have a 320.028 vdo oil temp sensor, it is on GP temp 1 input, it needs to read from 0 deg C to 120 Deg C, it will be used to limit the engine out put or give warning if the trans is to cold or hot. I am looking for a table for a 1k pullup to suit. vdo oil temp sensor.pdf
Adamw
It should look like this.
