4+1 trigger wheel

Hi,

I am not sure if this is possible! I have a 5 tooth trigger wheel (crank mounted). 4 teeth evenly spaced with the 5th tooth at about 60 degrees BTDC. Can this disk be used for a V8 engine with group fire injectors and wasted spark ignition.

Thanks

Thanks Simon,

We want to be able to run without a distributor and it is not possible to get in to mount a cam sensor (Chev V8) due to water pumps etc. Hence for wasted spark and batch fire I may need to run with a 30-1 or 60-1 crank trigger??

Thanks

Yes you can use 24-1, 30-1, 60-2 etc. All these will work fine.

You can also modify the distributor so the sensor only see 1 tooth and use this as a cam sync if you dont want to fabricate a new crank trigger wheel. However, you must remove the 5th tooth at the crank.
