Escort4age
Iv just got my 4age started up, seems to be running very rich, blacks out the plugs instantly. And also really struggled to idle, it climbs then falls, unplugging the idle valve makes no change, but putting 12v to it you can hear it open up. Il attach the start up map and maybe someone can see something wrong in the map? I'm very new to ecu's and tuning so don't know what to look for Thanks 4age 20v 2.1.pclr
Adamw
The frequency on Aux 2 should be something more like 150-200Hz for an idle valve. But that is unlikely going to help much, your fuel and ignition needs to be reasonably close before you will be able to hold an idle so get the fuel tune closer first before you worry about idle. Start by adjusting the master fuel until it cleans up. Have you set base timing etc?
Escort4age
Yup iv set base timing. Should decreasing the master fuel and leaving the ignition as is be enough clean it up a bit? Thanks for the reply
Adamw
Probably. A wideband would make your life easier, but you can usually get it reasonable by ear.
Dannyboi1320
in my case i had to take the master fuel from 20ms down to 4ms and the car runs and idles top notch. try messing with fuel trims, seems like its pig rich (as noted by the great adam himself, setup a wideband and trim up some fuel)
