That328i
Alright so I bought an e36 pnp link g4+ for my e36. Converted it to obd1 and noticed the o2 sensor plug was cut off. So my question is. Do I need to wire my wideband into the ecu through the cam system. Or can I wire it in analog
dx4picco
aftermarket wideband o2 can be plugged onto any 0-5v analog input. it it's a can lambda from link then it's Can only
That328i
So wiring it in analog into the ecu it’ll still act as a wideband sensor? Sorry 02 sensor is what I meant.
dx4picco
stock o2 sensor on e36s are not wideband, they are narrowband. they should be connected to AN Volt if you want to use that, but you will not be able to read afr with that
That328i
Do you think I’ll have a problem tuning with just a wideband and no 02 sensors?
dx4picco
you are maybe getting some confusion there, both aftermartket "wideband" and sotck "narrowband" sensors are o2 sensors. If you use one wideband, as long as it is after the merge of the two banks then it will be better than stock o2 and you don't need it.
