Driven wheel speed questions

Hey guys

Just came across this looking through my ecu settings and I’m not sure if it’s correct or not

I have Digital Input 3 (DI 3) - LF wheel speed

but when I go into the “speed sources” table I am seeing the following:

*Driven Wheel Speed Source: average rear speed

*Non Driven Wheel Speed Source: average front speed

should the driven wheel speed source also be LF wheel speed ?

If you only have the stock speed sensor then you should set both driven and non-driven speed sources to LF.  Its normallly set to LR in our GTR base map since it more closely resembles a rear wheel speed - but that doesnt really matter.  Launch activation should not be set to DI3 as it is going to constantly cycle between on & off.

Bringing up an old thread

I changed my speed settings as per recommended settings for an r32 gtr

Driven and non driven changed to LF wheel speed

also in di3 - LF wheel speed

i changed my pull-up resistor from OFF to ON

And active edge from rising to falling

and on two occasions now with me changing these settings, I can drive around normal ok but when I give it some extra throttle and accelerate fast it literally feels like traction control is kicking in, splutters and I don’t gain much momentum

so I just put it back the original way it was

any idea why changing speed settings would cause this issue

Will need to see a log.  Look at what LF wheel speed is reporting.  Most likely what ever settings you are changing causes the speed to at least intermittently drop below the launch disarming speed so the launch limiter is kicking in.  R32's often have a very erratic speed reported from the speed sensor due to the reed switch in the back of the speedo getting old and sticky.  Sometimes one edge works better than the other, sometimes both edges are erratic.

I did go ahead and order that tailshaft speed sensor kit, will be installed when car goes up for tuning in coming weeks

on a side note, I saw Haltech has a gps module

https://www.haltech.com/product/ht-011310-gps-speed-input-module/

would there be any issues running that with a link fury? Any calibration issues etc ?
