Izzy
Hey, I was just wondering if I could get some help with the first start of my engine swap, A little context for the swap is that I have a 2005 Subaru forester XT Auto ej255 Turbo, that I ended up swapping an 2003 Ej205 Manual with a 2.3L stroker kit. Main issues I had was that the trigger sensor was incorrect going from the ej255's Avcs Hall effect to the Ej205's reluctor and non-avcs. That's the main reason I ended up going with a link Ecu. Ended up getting the WRX104X Plugin and followed the steps in the manual, also on the https://linkecuhelp.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/1500001810341-My-engine-won-t-start guide. At the moment the car Cranks but doesnt turn over. I attempted to get a reading of timing with a timing light but it looks as if I have 0ms on my coil packs, (stock Ej255 COPs). I've attached A trigger log, a general log and my Current Ecu setup below, battery voltage was low on these but even when battery is full it still doesn't change much. So I was Just wondering if there's anything I've missed or If anyone can help me with my issue. Thanks in advance Isaiah TriggerScopeHelp.llgx Log-File-Help.llgx help.pclx
Vaughan
I don't know my Subarus well but it looks like your trigger mode should be set to 'Subaru V1-6' Izzy
Adamw
I was just typing the same... That is not an EJ205 trigger on that engine, it is the old school pre 1999 EJ20. Set triggermode to Subaru V1-6. Izzy
Izzy
Hey Adam and Vaughan, Sorry it's been a while, just wanted to let you know changing that trigger, the car started straight away. I knew it was gonna be something silly like that. Thank you both for that, helped me out bigtime. Vaughan
