Cruise control wiring (multiplex)

Recommended Posts

I am likely missing something obvious, but I am trying to get my cruise control working. It is a 2 wire multiplex with 2 wires connected that change resistance depending on which buttons are pressed.

I have hooked it up in a way which I think is correct (one wire An16 the other sensor ground), but when I turn the analog input on it says it is going directly to ground. Do I need to put an additional resistor in so it doesn't think it's going straight to ground? Or does it sort itself out once I tell the ECU the expected voltages for the cruise multiplex?

Thanks in advance
