Spyrosgeo
Hi, I own a Toyota ae86 with atomX. It runs a 4AG engine with dristibutor. On trigger 1 it has 24 teeth and on trigger 2 , 4 teeth. My problem is that I can't cut 3 teeth on upper because the car must start with stock ecu due to the Race rules. What can I do to solve the problem ?
Vaughan
From memory the 4AGE is the same as the 3s where it has 24 teeth, 2 teeth and a 3rd signal with only on 1 tooth so use the 24 tooth and the 1 tooth signals.
Adamw
We dont support the old 4 tooth sync with 24T ref as it wouldnt allow sequential injection or direct spark ignition. But if you want to keep it you can still make the Link work using the stock 4 tooth wheel. Just connect the 4 tooth sensor to trigger 1, nothing connected to trig 2. The 24T wheel will not be used. Trigger mode multitooth, sync mode none. Ignition has to be distributor and injection mode has to be multipoint group.
Spyrosgeo
Finaly i install a trigger disk (36-1) on crankshaft.I use hall sensor . I have 4 trigger scope on (1200,5000,7000,7700)rpm. The problem is on 7600rpm the engine is like as limiting . On the same time trigger counter is increasing and trigger 1 state (blank time). Desktop.zip Take a look what i see
Adamw
What sensor and wheel are you using? Its voltage output is dropping at higher RPM. It may need a stronger pull-up or it may be that the teeth are too small or incorrect spacing for the sensor.
