Adamw
Something very odd with that waveform - especially on the crank. What sensor have you used on crank and dizzy?
efi265
seems i have been told the incorrect sensor type on the trigger one ,so have now changed it to a hall effect sensor .i have been told it is a honeywell gt101.So i will try this and let you no thanks
Adamw
Be aware the GT101 is not suitable of missing tooth trigger wheels (it should be good enough to satrt and run but it will get flaky at high RPM). However the GT101 has been obsolete for several years now so hopefully they have given you something that looks similar to a GT101 but isnt. There is a GS101202 from ZF or a Littelfuse 55505 that are same footprint but are suitable for missing teeth wheels.
efi265
ok great here is a new trigger scope i have set the trigger one to hall effect ,hope you aren't right ffs .the file is to large i cant load it https://www.efihardware.com/products/2655/Hall-Effect-Crankshaft-Sensor-High-RPM-Version
Adamw
Yeah thats a Littlefuse one by the looks. The GT101 is quite distinctive with a black ribbon cable type wire. You have used up all of your upload allowance so you will have to share your file with google drive/onedrive/dropbox etc. Example how to share in onedrive: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UoNjmbt65bY

Adamw
Trig 1 is looking better now. It looks like trig 2 is a reluctor but you have it set to opto/hall, so you need to change that. 14 minutes ago, efi265 said: hi cant seem to get a scope every time can i just click the capture button ? Not sure what you are asking here. Just click the capture button when the engine is cranking.
efi265
ok sorry i was pressing capture b4 the cranking https://1drv.ms/u/s!AsueBbAiWzmW1jswUtK8Ex8ry41v?e=Zv1jJZ looks way better thanks sorry i was told by the supplier the trigger 2 was a hall effect sensor
Adamw
Yeah looks almost useable now. Trig 2 is hard to tell 100% if it is correct polarity or not but I think it is. It will likely get a better shape and once it runs so do another scope when running to confirm. Otherwise I expect you should have RPM and sync now. efi265
hi i have rpm and both trigger 1 and 2 showing active but sync isnt showing a sync .ok what sync mode should the trigger 2 be set to ,being 36-1 with hall senor and reluctor trigger 2 should it be None ?
Adamw
Trig 2 sync mode should be set to cam pulse 1X. There is no sync parameter as far as I know. If both trig 1 & 2 signals say yes then at least the ecu is seeing teeth so should be happy.
efi265
Sorry one more question .do I set trigger priority to trigger 2 or 1 i just read another forum trigger setup post and it showed as priority to trigger 2 , 36-1 crank trigger hall sensor and modified dizzy with reluctor .cheers Ross
Adamw
Shouldn’t matter for missing tooth mode, but set priority to trig
