Auxiliary outputs

might be a bit of a strange one to ask, regarding the auxiliary outputs I've seen that they can either give a earth or can provide battery voltage. I've seen that they can only do something with a maximum of seven ohms but if they're being used to power something then they can only do so up to half an amp. I was trying to get the ecu two power the indicators as I have two spare auxiliary outputs. I did check the resistance on the indicator circuit and it came out at two mega ohm's, but this seems not really possible but it could be right. Would it be possible to do this without the use of any relays and just use one of the ecus timers to switch the power on and off for the indicators, or will  the indicators which are LEDs  draw too much current.
