ae82ted
Hi All, We are having some issue with the Battery light on Dash with the H20X plug in ECU. The ECU is using on a JDM DC5 Type R, everytime when we leave off throttle, when the rpm goes back down to 800rpm. The Battery light on dash would flash. Do we need to turn the Alternator Control "on" at AUX 8 and do some setting with that? Its still with the base file we are just testing out the functions of this new plugin ECU. Thanks for your help
Adamw
Our test car was a JDM type R and that didnt need any alternator control. It charged at a constant ~14.5V. The documentation for our car suggested the alternator control was only used to lower the charging voltage during some cruise conditions for economy and emissions reasons. I have had a dealer put this ECU in a civic however and that needed alternator control enabled. So it wont hurt to give it a try to see if the alternator has the ability to increase voltage.
