DerekAE86
I just wanted to confirm for myself what exactly happens when you go past the lockout conditions in regards to the base idle valve settings. For example lets say you're idling at temp with 15% base, your engine fan is on that adds 5% to base and the ac is on which adds 10% to base. So your idle valve is at 30% in this condition. Now you've got a lockout for 2% TPS, so when you apply throttle to start driving you enter idle control lockout. What happens to the idle valve? Does it stay at the last known position (30%) until it re-enters the control range regardless of what conditions change during the lockout? ie: temp changes, fan and ac go off resulting in a lower base. Adamw
It will go to base position + largest of the load offsets (Fan, AC or PS) + dashpot offset.
