Alistair
Have run out of room to Install a tacho on my 4wd without rebuilding dash (had attempted to run a digital tacho /speedo combination )but want to set up if possible a multiple stage shift light to give a basic indication of rpm.but the trick is I only have one output left.or am I dreaming? neil brown
how do you set a single shift light
Simon
You will use a free Aux output set as GP Output. You can then set the RPM condition for the Aux to switch.
neil brown
can i use an omex sequential shift light with the g4 storm ecu and use aux 6 as an other tacho output solely for the the input to the omex control unit
Simon
Yep you could certinaly do that.
neil brown
The tachometer output from the ecu What is it Spoke to omex for sequential light unit and they need a square wave over 9 volts for unit to work They were talking about a pull up resistor to make unit work
Simon
The ECU just switches a ground so if you have no tacho connected will need a pullup resistor. In this case a 1K resistor between the signal and 12V will then give you a 0-12V square wave that the Omex will be happy with.
neil brown
thanks  as aux 6 will only be the input to the omex unit
Alistair
Looking at getting a older style display link.(my budget doesn't stretch to the new ones ) but obviously will do rpm and speed easy, can a odometer be set up on it?

Simon
RPM and Speed are easy but the DisplayLink is not able to do an odometer.
