hard to start

john civic rally

Recommended Posts

hi,

i have a civic ek with a b16a2 mapped on a g4+ plugin ecu. it has b16b cams and 410cc rdx injextors. i am having trouble starting the car for the first time when cold. it takes around 30sec cranking to start and usualy the smaller battery dies a couple of times and needs help.

I am wondering if somebody can help me figure out or improve the cold start settings. once it has been started and i shut it down immediatly and i start it again after 30sec it starts in a couple of seconds.

i added the tune

civic rally full power 190whp + launch 8000 _ TPS MAPPING+TIMING final.pclr

Can you provide a PC log of a bad cold start?  My initial thoughts would be towards things like trigger arming thresholds or ign dwell not suitable when battery voltage is lower and cranking is slow.
