Can't connect to ECU anymore

So I've had my Link for around a year now and really love it.  Car runs great.

I just started having connection issues with it.  Or I should say I can't connect at all.  My laptop won't detect the ECU anymore.  It just happened out of nowhere.  I got home after a drive with my laptop connected, went inside, came back an hour later, and can't connect anymore.

I purchased a new cable thinking it may have worn out from the many connects and disconnects, but that didn't help.  I reinstalled PCLink and drivers.  I reinstalled my USB drivers.  Nothing.  The USB ports on my laptop work.  Other devices connect and work fine.

The car still starts and runs fine.  I just can't connect anymore.  So I need some help on what I should try next.

Does windows do the normal "ding dong" when you plug the USB cable in?  Is there an ecu showing in the com ports section of windows device manager?

No ding dong at all and it doesn't show up in device manager.

I would suspect it is damaged or faulty in that case.  Contact [email protected] to arrange to have it inspected.
