Howard Coleman
Extreme G5 2 rotor i run four Bosch 0280158333 injectors as secondaries. each has 8.4 ohms resistance. currently the two secondary injectors servicing the front rotor are wired to Inj 3 and the rear rotor two secondary injectors are wired to inj 4. my tuner is concerned as to the capacity of the two drivers to handle the four injectors. do i need to direct wire two of the secondary injectors to inj 5 & 6? Vaughan
13.5/8.4 = 1.6A per injector so 3.2A when controlling both in parallel, max current for the injector drives is 5A so shouldn't be an issue having two 8.4ohm injectors wired in parallel to a single injector output. Howard Coleman
thank you Vaughan, exactly what i was looking for... the max A per driver. i have a 320 A alternator and my system current is typically 14.89... 14.89/8.4 = 1.77 x 2 = 3.54. it would have been better to have each injector wired to a driver but it appears i am fine. Adamw
Dont forget that is assuming 100% duty cycle also, which wouldnt be desirable on a rotary. At 50% DC you are only pulling ~1.8A average.
