Brett Paton
I have a Nissan Primera with a SR20DE and i have a G4 which I am trying to install. This is a learn as you go project building a car for track days and hillclimbs. Unlike the P10 Primera and other Nissans with individual coils, mine is all built into the distributor. How do I hook up the ignition?? Cheers Brett
Fredrik Pettersson
You have 2 options ; 1. Remove distributor and install coilpack to let the G4 decide timing 2. Don't use G4 ignition , you will have zero control of ignition but you won't have to change anything. peraonally I would go with option 1Â
Simon
No problem to keep the distributor on the SR20 There were a couple of different models of distributor. Some had the coil and igniter built in. Others had only a 4 pin plug and have the same pinout as the multi coil CAS engines. Does your unit have it all in one and then should have a pinout similar to this drawing http://www.linkecu.com/support/documentation/technical-drawings/C23%20Nissan%20SR20DE%20Distributed.pdf
Darren Aubrey
Hi there I'm doing a plus T setup on my 91 s13 sr20de. It has the 4 pin distributor. Looking how to hook it up too. Is this pin out plug you are talking about? http://www.pim-engineering.com/tiedostot/Nissan11.pdf
Simon
C11.3 picture is the one to follow and that will suit the G4+ nicely.
