Shawn Ferguson Posted December 29, 2012 Report Posted December 29, 2012 Fellas I have the car running and have gone through the first start up procedure in the manual. Issue being the car is now running super rich. Blowing plooms of black smoke at idle. Where have I gone wrong?? The master fuel number I had as low as 4ms and now just to get it to idle its up around 12???? Any ideas I have one warning for AN temp channel 2 input at 5v so I'll have to look into what I was using that channel for! Could it be linked to the issue? Anybhelp greatly appreciated Regards Shawn. Quote
Stevieturbo Posted January 6, 2013 Report Posted January 6, 2013 You do understand that the ecu needs tuned for each application ? What sort of mixtures are you seeing ? And is it a plug n play application, or is this something you have wired up yourself ? Quote
Shawn Ferguson Posted January 6, 2013 Author Report Posted January 6, 2013 Of course I understand that Steve. My concern is I will have to trailer it to the tuners as its so rich its undriveable. I'm seeing numbers below 10:1 which is as low as my wide band will read. It's a plug an play unit. Quote
Stevieturbo Posted January 16, 2013 Report Posted January 16, 2013 And is your car completely standard ? Are you sure your wideband is working and calibrated correctly ? What actual injector pulse widths are you seeing at idle ? Quote
Simon Posted January 17, 2013 Report Posted January 17, 2013 Check the map sensor is reading correctly. It should read 100kpa at key on engine not running and go lower once the engine is running or even cranking. If it was idling clean it should be around 30-40kpa. Quote
