Carboy280 Posted August 29, 2016 Report Share Posted August 29, 2016 Hi, Just thinking about running VAG R8 coilpacks on my RB25 Series 2 with G4+ plugin.was wondering if the drivers on the ecu are up to the task and if anything will need changing on the ecu? Scott Posted August 30, 2016 Report Share Posted August 30, 2016 Hi,The ECU's ignition outputs supply +5V when used for ignition, and can supply up to 20 mA of current. It is the ignitor that does all the actual higher current work. bsh Posted August 31, 2016 Report Share Posted August 31, 2016 The VAG coils works perfectly fine with the Link/Vi-PEC ecus. Igniter is built into these coils.
