Crave
Hi,It would be great if there would be option to calculate Clutch slip % based on outputshaft speed and gear ratios. Some other ecus/ecu softwares have this option so it is possible to do.That would be really good solution for us who run these Ecus on Drag Race motorcycle applications. As the most motorcycle engines are build so that there is no easy way to measure input shaft speed.Another problem is that that if would like to use the current Clutch/TC slip % calculation then maximum frequency input of 500 Hz is a problem. For example in Hayabusa engine only spot where is it even close to possible (not easiest solution but is has been done) to measure input shaft speed is sensor drilled on the cases reading the inputshaft fixed gear and that gear has 16 tooth. And as the primary drive ratio is 1.6:1 and max rpm is over 12krpm the maximum frequency for that will be way way over 500 Hz.I belive that it might not be a big deal to create that kind of calculating to software? And there would be many happy customers that uses these great ecus on drag bikes. Thanks,SSB #99Finland
DOLFO
Hi,I have the same problem and requested this software fix too.Hope it's a easy fix and that it can be execute soonThanks,Dolfo

Adamw
I see this has been on the request list for some time. I will put another +1 on it to bump it up.
Adamw
Actually, I'm wrong, I thought it was on the request list but I was confusing it with a traction function, I cant find this feature on the request list. The more I think about this feature the more I can see it is going to get quite complex so maybe it was put in the "too hard" basket. I will raise the question again and see if we can get it back on the list...

I'm no software expert but I think it should be possible as its possible to do it on Excel. Here is good topic about calculating that http://forums.linkecu.com/index.php?/topic/6135-calculate-clutch-slip/ But as said I'm no expert with software stuff.I'm really hoping that this new feature would be possible to do! Please keep us posted if there is possibility that we could have this new feature. That would help all of us who plays with these powerful no-bar bikes as clutch plays a really big role on tuning to make these go fast. Adamw
Yes it is now on the wish list. Unfortunately I can't make any promises as to when. Just to confirm you two @DOLFO & @Crave both have analog gear position sensors right? DOLFO
Crave
@Adamw Great, nice to hear that its on the wish list! And yes I have analog gear position sensor. Most modern bikes have those as standard.
