Adzn3k
Hi guys, I'm looking at getting a new wideband and looking at the aem x series one. Has anyone used one of these with their plug in apparently they have a canbus output?
Adamw
Yes they work fine and there is a CAN stream template and set up instructions for the X-series already in the PCLink software:
Adzn3k
Thanks, how do I do about wiring it in to my plug in ecu?
Adamw
You will need a CANPCB adapter: http://dealers.linkecu.com/CANPCB_2 You can snip the round 6 pin plug off the CANPCB cable and then connect the CAN L wire from the AEM to the CANPCB Green wire, and the AEM CAN H wire to the CANPCB White wire. Adzn3k
This may sound stupid but is the connector the same for the xsloom? As I have one of those Sat doing nothing and if it's the same would rather use that than buy a new lead to cut up
Adamw
No its similar but only a 5 pin plug, the XS connector is 8 pin.
Adzn3k
Ah OK just seems excessive to buy a £35 lead just for the white plug
