Ken Dunkley
If i run wasted spark on a V8 - will 1 igniter run 2 individual coils such as AEM coils . So 4 igniters for 8 coils . Or do i have to run 4 - 2 post coils with 4 igniters ?
Simon
You need an igniter channel per coil.Generally the igniters limit the max current so trying to drive 2 coils off the one channel halves the current to the coil, massively reducing the available spark energy.Going for smart coils with the igniter built in is ideal if going to pair up ignition outputs. Brad Burnett
What v8 are you using. There are many direct fit smart coils available these days.

Brad Burnett
One of the easiest things to do would be to fit the gm ls coils on the fender well and make custom plug wires.
