Pucsta
New to the Link game. Just after some Input from other users in the same situation. Haven’t ben able to source much info on the subject but wanted to see if there are much users on here that are using the 300zLink to run their Rb25det engine. I’ve gone through both the factory R33 Rb25det ECU and Z32 ECU Pinouts and listed the differences I’ve found in both ECU and Looms as Well as the 300zLink and GtrLink pinouts. The pics attached show the OEM ECU Differences I found and the Link booklet is the 300zLink pinouts with the pen writing being the input/outputs they’d run on rb25det.The writing on the outsides of the pinouts are the differences on the 300zlink and GtrLink. Have spoken to a few people who have had different inputs to the situation. ”Nah you just change configs on PCLink for Injector and Ignition differences”, “Theres some wiring changes you need to do” “Nah,Direct plug-In,Link would just sell less GtrLinks if everyone knew you can just use 300zLink instead”. Basically,I’m after input from users who have the same setup as I’m running. Currently running a Series 2 Rb25det swapped R32,Series 2 loom,to4e Turbo, standard injectors but will be swapping to 550cc Yellow top Rex ones,90mm TB,other usual mods-Fmic,FFP,Topmount etc etc. Looking to learn how to tune-Tonne of reading to do,want to road tune my set up then when cashflow is good I’ll be off to get Ross Honnor to Dyno tune. Thanks in Advance Keegan

Would using the Pclr file off this topic (most likely the last one on the topic as I’m also using a AEM Wideband) be useful? Would it also have the configs needed already setup for my application so all I’d need to focus on would be tuning the fuel/ign maps? lastly, the only wiring changes i’d need to do would be whats listed in the orange? No changing the wiring loom injector/Ignition pins round for inj/ign orders or accessory locations (f.i.c.d,AAC etc).

Yes it should allow it to run. 11 minutes ago, Pucsta said: Would it also have the configs needed already setup for my application so all I’d need to focus on would be tuning the fuel/ign maps? With a bit of luck yes. You should still calibrate and test every input/output as per the start-up guide in the manual. 12 minutes ago, Pucsta said: ,the only wiring changes i’d need to do would be whats listed in the orange? No changing the wiring loom injector/Ignition pins round for inj/ign orders or accessory locations (f.i.c.d,AAC etc). That would be the easiest option. I think I already emailed you the other day about this same subject. This is the easy option, not the most correct option. Leaving the coils/injectors wired incorrectly and fudging the firing order in the software will allow it to run but if things like individual cylinder trims and knock control are used it will be very confusing or possibly wont work properly. Pucsta
Thanks for the info, will definately be doing all the start up calibration tests beforehand to make sure its all how it should be. Will most likely use the pclr file off the topic and tweak it to suit my setup and rewire the ignition and injector loom wiring to suit to make sure If Ross does need to use Cylinder Trims and Knock that he doesnt have to muck around and cross reference stuff. Appreciate the info and fast reply!
