  1. The ABS light will still function. As this is independent of our system. The OBD diagnostics will not function. Errors can be displayed through the check engine light if the ECU is configured to do this. (up to the person doing the fit up)
  2. Hi Johann HI have now cleared all tech emails and have no sign of one form you. Could you please resend the information through. [email protected] Thanks
  3. As they say good things take time. No problem at all to supply the Toyota info. I didn't clear all my emails on Friday so apologies for that. Hence doing forums on a Sunday! Assuming your email came through I should have it read before Monday is over. And with luck we can get engineering to get the new trigger pattern in to the new firmware. Once we get the triggering sorted the G4 will be more than up to the task.
  4. You will need recheck the trigger settings. If you go to trigger two you will most likely find it set to 'none' it should be set to cam x1
  5. Yep you have it sorted. It will be the new drivers. You will need to uninstall these and go back to the older drivers.
  6. The biggest thing the Xtreme will give you over the Storm is full sequential fuel and ignition. The fuel side will be the biggest plus. Sequential will give a smother crisper engine. And if you get really keen in the tuning better fuel economy. Other than that you also get a lot more input channels and outputs.
  7. Still need to TDC the engine to #1 compression and find 1) The position of the tooth after the Gap on 60-2. 2) The position of the Falling and Rising edges on the Cam. Then we can do it.
  8. We can supply this terminal through any of our dealers.
  9. The early G1 ecus only supported narrow band. And if its a V5 Lem it will only use the O2 sensor for dithering around 14.1 afr. You will need to use the simulated narrowband output from the LC1 or get a 1-3 wire narrow band sensor. It not a wise idea to use a narrow band for tuning these days as the wideband sensors are so much better.
  10. when it gets to the point of asking to cycle the ignition. Either disconnect and then reconnect the battery and see if that gets it through. You can also unplug and then re connect the ECU to get the same result. I suspect that you have a back feed and it is keeping the ECU powered up even though the key is off.
  11. If you download the latest PC link this contains full wiring information including pinouts for our plugins as well as Storm and Xtreme. Just go to the Help menu.
  12. I would suggest the G4 Xtreme as being the pick of the bunch. However the G4 Storm can also do the trick if you are happy to run group fire fuel. http://www.linkecu.com/products/engine-management-ecus
  13. OK cool you have a G1 LEM with custom outback software. Crank fuel the smaller the number the more fuel. (Zone 18) Prime temp can be adjusted through zone 17 and cold start up through zone 16
  14. It can work very well. Was just wondering as to why you would wist to remove an ISC solenoid if it was working well.
  15. Wire the TGV valve motors to Aux 7 and Aux 8. Wire both motors in SERIES. Wire the positive terminal of one motor to Aux 7. Wire the negative terminal of that motor to the positive terminal of the second motor. Wire the negative terminal of the second motor to Aux 8.
  16. When you say "I have a pre link plus G1" are you referring to the ecu being our LEM V1-5? Can you get the software code of the ECU. You should be able to get this by holding down one of the adjust keys whilst on the RPM screen.
  17. You can to some extent trim the idle speed using ignition. You will most often use a second table based off TPS. If engine speed falls the ignition timing is increased if it gets too high the timing is reduced. What are the reasons for removing the idle control valve?
  18. Just checked and it can run the engine (trigger option available) but no VVT control.
  19. Sorry Tom Have been looking to fire up one on the bench to see if the trigger mode is available.
