  1. Check to see if you are getting any trigger errors. Also make sure you have resistive plugs fitted. Unstable dwell usually points to triggering problems. Simon
  2. It seems you are correct. We will have a fix shortly.
  3. Hi An easy one to fix. The new firmware runs at a higher baud rate (115200) If you connect to PC Link and change this baud rate back to 57600 the display will be happy again.
  4. You can copy and paste most of the information over. It is however time consuming. If you open the G3 map in G4 PCLink this will allow you to copy the numbers. In a second PClink connected to the ECU you can then paste the numbers in to the correct table.
  5. Close what you actually need is a KnockBlock this will let you input a knock signal via a AN Volt input.

Any chance of a shot with the lid off the ECU. I suspect it is a G1 plugin to suit EVO5/6
  7. We do not offer an ECU that will suit your configuration. What you are trying to do is not similar at all to petrol or diesel engine management control. It is likely you will have to have a special controller made to suit this application.
  8. We currently don't do any diesel control.
  9. On the series 5 you will need to swap out the factory igniter. This runs a toggle system for selecting which coil to fire which we dont support. You can use either one of our igniters or the later S6/7/8 igniter.
  10. Glad to hear you got to the bottom of it.
  11. The stepper should do a reset at either key on or off depending on settings. If it doesn't move then I would be rechecking the coil pairings. I'm also assuming that you have selected ISC stepper on all 4 drives.
  12. We require the serial number from your ECU to allow us to get you the unlock code. Once you have this code you can then download the latest PC Link for G4 and run the firmware update from PC Link.
  13. There is the provision to open a factory ISS to wide open but most of the time this still isn't enough air. This then requiring some other means to get the air in.
  14. I would start by having a good read through the setup instructions in the manual (PCLink help menu) This gives a very good run down on the setup. In terms of hardware you will require a Switch wired to a DI and some means of bypassing air into the engine past the throttle butterfly.
  15. Would need a sub-board change and maybe a software change if it is currently running LS1 specific software. Either way it will need to come back to have this done.
  16. What are your trigger settings. Thinking along the lines of the arming voltage being slightly too high at low RPM.
  17. How do you have the 8 secondarys wired? Are they in parallel or series? What resistance are the injectors measuring and what value ballast resistor have you used?
  18. Hi Johann We do intend to keep this promise. But even the G4's dont have full closed loop boost control yet.
  19. The G2 runs very different hardware to the G4 range and there are many things that are different between the to firmware versions. It was just not an option to make the G4 firmware that far backwards compatible. Do you get free upgrades from say windows 98 to Vista or various other software packages? And then expect the hardware to be up to the task to run it? We could of course just kept making the G2 and not move on.
  20. Correct. The Reference is the mark you are going to line up on the light. The offset is whatever is required to make this mark line up.
  21. Yep you would need to see a tuner and they will be able to hook up to the ECU and then might be able to see something. If a MAP had failed I would expect the car to be almost undriveable. Where abouts are you based as you might have a local friendly tuner I can point you to.
  22. Those earths will be fine to use as grounds for the ECU. The important bit is that the sensors are grounded through the ECU rather than direct to the block. This is to keep the sensor grounds at the same potential as the ECU ground.
  23. In that case you are all sorted. As then tuning cable will be in there with either ECU.
  24. Hi there The first thing I would be checking is that the factory ecu has the same plug as the one in the photos. I suspect being a 97 your factory ECU is going to be a 3 plug unit making this one incorrect for the application. For connection to laptop all you require is one of our Serial Links. Simon
