    Paddle Shift

@tbase, look at the log, Barrell signal is very flat (no flux) so you can close the gear detection Vol Tollerance to 0.10. I see the barrel in the 2nd to 3rd gear upshift not sweet, so try to increasing the % cut and the retard. try this setting in the next test. Log all the gearshift data to 1000 Hz.
  2. my idea was precisely that the engine control unit had to be able to manage the cut and blip so as to have maximum flexibility in calibrations
  3. @Adamw Tested today and i have an issue. The ecu don't see the Can DI when i press the paddle. Look at the Can Run time, i have all the data green with Ok but the Stuff Error on CAN 2 (the can used for the AIm dash and the GCU ecu) flash a little red and the received error counter count fast. The CAN Line is between G4X, Aim MXS 1.2 Dash and the GCU. The Aim Work always, if i disconnect the GCU from the CAN the Stuff error stop to flash fast red and the error counter stop to 0. I do a Log but i don't think it can help CAN ERROR.llgx
  4. Thanks a lot for the Help! :-)
  5. @Adamw the GCU have a Open firmware so the Engineer can modify/configure them for read the data in the CAN . From what I have been told, any modes are then changed in the GCU firmware Just tell us ID, bytes and format
  6. @Adamw , i want to use Data 0 as request and the G4X control the lenght of the cut etc, same as for the Blip - Data 1

    Paddle Shift

I need the calibration file for take a look :-)
  8. @Adamw can you help me in setting the Can?
  9. @Adamw The GCU send a Digital input signal (the paddle) so a Digital Input for the Upshift and a Digital Input for the downshift. In the picture below is DATA 0 CANBUS Up and DATA 1 CANBUSDOWN The GCU control only the actuator and a few safe condition (switch for neutral , engine speed vs gear for downshift over rev etc) There is the Can information GCU. I need to send to the GCU the Engine RPM speed and the Barrell position

    Paddle Shift

@tbase from my experience in this situation is better cut 100% ignition and use a soft retard for the torque reintroducing. With the G4X use the log for the Gear position sensor at 500 Hz , this can help to see if the barrell rotation is sweet or stuck in any point. With the G4+ and 100hz log for example the barrell rotation look sweet but upgraded to G4X and use it at 500Hz it show the barrell stuck at the end of rotation and this help me to figure out a wear on a gear dog. Don't try to reach a fast gearshift time, the goal is gearshift without wear so the best time gearshift in that moment!
  11. @Adamw A customer ask to me for a new WireIn Install on a Rover Kseries 1.8 VHPD (No VVC) Westfield. The Rover Kseries have a 36-4-4 tooth crank trigger wheel. I see on the trigger pattern G4X there is two version of trigger setup for the Rover Kseries. There is any chance that the G4X work great with the oem trigger wheel or i need to modify them? Best Regards
  12. @Adamw, Recently I do a G4X Xtreme installation on a RaceCar with e-throttle and Sequential gearbox. The car have a Electronic actuator on the Box and paddle connected to the GearBox Ecu. The GearEcu developer ask me about the details for send to the G4x the Cut Signal and Blip signal from the Can Line. Can you help me?

    VVT PID setting

@Adamw i do this in the software but the value show are the same for different VVT. I'm interested on the default PID value for Honda K20A VVT, can you share to me this data?

    VVT PID setting

@Adamw, What is the setting for VVT PID when in the VVT table i set PID Setup default?
  15. @koracing thanks for the information. I do some test yesterday and finally (before read your post) i do a normal relay connection to fuel pump with battery voltage all the time connected to a Aux ecu :-)
  16. Finally installed the Ecu Plugin TST205X , the engine start and i can do the first test. Before this i try with engine at idle to see if the fuel pump 2 speed work , normally i see from the fuel pressure sensor a little high fuel pressure when the 2nd speed fuel pump aux output is on. In this car the fuel pressure don't change, so i do a test on Aux 7 for and it work but if i test the aux4 for the second fuel pump speed nothing change,i don't ear the relay cycling I measure the fuel pump voltage on fuel pump wiring on the fuel tank and with engine running is only 3.3 Volt, so the slow speed is running, i do a aux4 ON and the voltage don't change. The fuel pressure at idle don't change, stable at 2.4 bar I do a little test on dyno only to 4000 rpm and the fuel pressure is not stable and it have some big flux. In other ST185 with plugin , the fuel pump speed work great and change the fuel pressure at idle 01-start.pclx
  17. @Adamw , this summer i do a Link G4X Xtreme installation on a Toyota 2ZZ-GE Engine supercharged. The car run fine and strong on Dyno and the customer do about four race on circuit (RoadRace). The last sunday the customer start the car on track for free practice and the VVT don'twork. I do a remote check and the Ecu see a "extra pulse" or noise on cam signal and the VVT error count go at 255. The car have 2 reluctor sensor, one for crank and one for intake camshaft. The first test is a double check on wiring harness for find possible issue but it's ok. The second test was the camshaft sensor replacement with a new and fresh Oem Toyota sensor but this not help to figure out the isse. I have a scope and the log.. Can you take a look for help me in this strange trigger error?
  18. Yes the rear speed never spike.. The trigger wheels front and rear are the same . The front trigger is on the medium driveshaft on the engine block. The rear trigger is on the Hub wheels
  19. @Adamw , i have some noise from the fron wheel speed. The setup is : - one single sensor on front axle with 12 teeth trigger wheel and Honeyweel 1GT101DC -two sensor on rear axle (left and right) with 12 teeth trigger wheel and Honeywell 1GT101DC For sensor pin i use the ecu sensor ground , the + 12 V from the main rele and the signal to ecu DI. I don't use a shielded wire for this senso because is hall effect and in other setup done work without noise A few time at 164-165 km/h the front speed sensor have a spike to about 210-215 km/h and other time random a different speed What can do this?
  20. @Adamw my customer is interested in a Linkecu Upgrade for the Subaru GR B (Chassis Hatchback) with EJ25 engine. I search on the website and i don't find the plugin for this car model, the WRX107X ecu don't support the GR Hatchback in the note at the end of page.. why? The trigger pattern isn't recognized by the ecu or there is a Can line in this chassis? Alternatively, I can do a wirein installation with a G4X Xtreme .. Do I need to modify the camshaft trigger?? This engine have the VVT at the intake and Exhaust camshaft, so 4 VVT ..it's possible to do on a Xtreme?

    Blip Response Time

@Adamw,I recently had the opportunity to do some circuit tests and tried different Blip response time settings for the Blip Predictive. But I can't see big differences going from 60-80-100 mS as if nothing really changed. The downshift is now smooth and doesn't push the car forward as much as it did when I used Blip end mode to shift end. I had also tried to use a second e-throttle table controlled by a Virtual aux and the car was pushed forward as with the blip end to shift end. The predictive Blip after having calibrated the gears with the gear ratio table as you suggested now works well. The only doubt is that I don't see anything change as the predictive time changes. I upload three screenshot, 60 , 80 and 100 mS in sequence...

    Paddle Shift

@piotr i have build for my race car the paddle shift strategy on the G4+ with some virtual aux, aux and digital input, safety condition ( max Rpm for downshift for each gear, double paddle pull in X time but only one shift etc) , air pressure controlled by the G4+. The upshift is on closed loop with barrel position . I can do driven upshift and overrun downshift. I do also a sequence for the upshift preload air to actuator before start the cut on upshift. It work great and I run a few race session on road race track and then after this I inspect the box for find some possible error on setup but all is very good ! The downshift is sweet and smooth on normal overrun and light/medium/hard braking condition! The very limit on G4+ is the internal logging at 100 Hz! I have play with a G4X Xtreme on customer car for test it and on G4X there is more room for my instruction set but for more reliability I need : - cut delayed after digital input upshift , this work as air actuator preload ( this help me in save a virtual aux and timer) - throttle blip timed ( with ms table) but with upshift end shift mode to barrell! ( this help me in save a virtual aux and timer for other function). -ignition cut of fuel cut after downshift ( this help in save virtual aux and timer) - some more flexibility in the G4X gear cut parameters At the moment I ask if Link have a paddleshift instruction set on a beta firmware or there is an eta because for a customer car is better use a paddleshift strategy instruction set build in the firmware (not editable with virtual aux etc). If link have a beta firmware for G4X with control for paddleshift on sequential gearbox I can test on my race car. The G4X platform have a 1000 Hz log, faster CPU and in my opinion is a better platform Ecu compared to other brand . there is two video of test on track with G4+ control paddleshift without a GCU in my race car. The time for upshift is about the same with lever and load cell knob.. it’s from 90-100 mS on low gear and bumpy surface to 70 mS on high gear and flat surface. The downshift time (it’s not important) but is fast at 140-150 mS in hard braking condition ( -1G deceleration )

    Paddle Shift

I have a few customer with the G4X and the sequential gearbox and they ask for a paddleshift system (winter project on the car) There is now a beta firmware for a paddleshift in the G4X or there is a eta for a instruction setting?

    GP PWM as GP Output

@Adamw ok thanks but I can’t assign it a virtual aux?!

    GP PWM as GP Output

@Adamw in the next month i switch from my old G4+ to a G4X, so i working on a based map transferring all the data from G4+ to G4X. On G4+ i use all the Aux , virtual Aux and the injector Aux channel. On G4X i have only 8 Gp output as Aux... Can i use the GP PWM output as a Gp Output? I think the table GP PWM set to 100% and the frequency? I use normal relay not solid state But i can't use the GP PWM as Virtual Aux so this is a limit
