  1. Nice. What Kelfords did you install?
  2. I dont know about a pnp adapter-harness, but I believe it should be an easy task to build your own. Buy an ecu connector and build it yourself. Maybe your local dealer can source you one? I have done this with my own Evo 2 running V88 and alot of other cars like Ford Sierra/Escort Cosworth, Audis etc. Works very well.
  3. Yes you can. For ie fuel corrections: Wire the 0-5v output to an analog input and set it up as EGT (0-5V) and chose a free cal table ie Cal 4. Setup Cal 4 output value as degrees Celsius and fill in input and output values that where included with the controller, ie if the controller puts out 0V the temp is 0 degrees and if output is 5V, temp is 1350 degrees celsius. Then you can activate 4D or 5D fuel table under Fuel Corrections and set it to always on. Then setup the x- and y-axis with what you prefer. Select the analog input you wired to on one axis (EGT) and whatever you want on the other axis. Load, rpm, gear etc. Then you are ready for fuel corrections. You can also do the same for ignition corrections, boost correction and other parameters.

    New firmware..

The BMW E36 Plugin will support the M50TUB25 engine (Vanos). 2 knock, fullsequential both fuel and ign AND it have 10A igniters built in which means you dont have to fit external igniters.
  5. Try using the DI#1, because it should read a higher frequency than the DI#3. If I remember correctly, also the lower AUX#, the higher frequency it can output. So if you are using a AUX output higher than 1, try using AUX1 for the speedometer output.

    LS1 Coils

Does the car stall when idling fine when you put it in gear? Is a an automatic? Does it stall only when launch control are active? Do you use ignition cut or retard? I have heard that if you put to much dwell on the LS1 coils, they will self ignite. I do not remember how many ms when it happens. I would try lowering down to 3.5 ms just to be on the safe side. If you get problems regarding spark blowout on 3.5 ms I would raise it a little. I have run the LS1 coils with 100whp pr.sylinder running E85 and 1.8 bar boost without problems with about 3.5 ms dwell if I remember correctly.
  7. I dont know for sure if it is a good or suitable solution, but you can rise the warm up table by say 10% (and lean entire fuel table by 10%) which means it will read 10% fuel enrichment where you actually had zero enrichment. This way you can lower 10% from operating temperature in the warm up table. I believe your 4D fuel table example should work as well. Please chime in here Vi-PEC staff if this will come in conflict with some other stuff or if it should be done in another way.
  8. You must connect it in the CAN plug (lower) on the ecu to go online. I belive pin 2 is RX, pin 3 is TX and pin 5 is signal ground on the RS232 connector. Your Vi-PEC dealer can also supply you a RS232 com cable.
  9. It is in the Vi-PEC help manual you find in the software. You find it at the top under Help - Content and type RS232
  10. Raise the AnT1 error value to 5.00 v. You will find it under Analog Inputs - Fault settings.
  11. Hello -40 degrees Celsius 100700 ohm -18 25000 -7 13500 4 7500 20 3400 38 1800 70 450 100 185 Chose a cal table -ie Cal 1 and setup Input units as ohm, output units as celsius, table start as -20 C, output table increment as 10. It will not be 100% correct, but you will be pretty close since I dont have any more values than these.
  12. I have a Fluke 2 ch handheld scope he can borrow if you think it will be good enough display for the info you need. It is rather small...
  13. Check the trigger error counter. If it is counting, try to lower the arming voltage. I have also had trouble by using a non genuine Audi sensor, which did not let me rev past 6000 rpm. Changed to a new genuine sensor, solved the problem.

    v44 problem

Hello I have basemap for your engine. Give me some info regarding engine, injectors etc and send to ben_stian at hotmaildotcom. You can also email me your map. Ben Stian

    Integrale 16V

Are AN Volt 5 setup as MAP sensor in the software? Press Esc button on your laptop and you find it under Ecu settings-Analog Inputs.
  16. I have seen some LC-1 come from factory with some strange values in the calibration table. Only fix I found was to download the newest firmware from Innovate and install to overcome the problem. Working 100% after new firmware. Then check the Innovate calibration tables for the output you are using via Logworks. It should be 0v - 7,35 afr and 5v - 21.38 afr (I dont remember exact numbers, but these are pretty close) Also choose AN3 as LC-1.
  17. Yes the V44 can wired for egt. Use spare analog inputs.
  18. If you only are running a distributor, go for the M&W Pro 10. I have used some of these with good success on the Vi-PEC.
  19. Disconnect the ecu and plug it back in again when told to cycle power.
  20. I would as Ray says, go for a M&W Pro-10 single channel cdi. Very high quality units.
  21. 06A 905 115D coils will handle 2.0 bar and 700 hp. VAG is correct about the part#. These coils are better quality then the old ones. If i remember correctly, there are some #`s in between as well and the 115D are the last ones and best till now. I also use these in my 5 cyl Audi with 581whp running E85. Alot of people are running even more power on these.
