  1. Hi If you could post or email the map. For the boost control is you put the Aux in to test PWM and lower the frequency to say 15Hz you should hear the solenoid clicking away. Also if you put it to test on (not pwm) I would expect massive over boost. If not you have a mechanical issue.
  2. First update. Mixture map will work off PC log but will need wideband source set to AN Volt X rather than wideband 1 or 2. Map sensor can be upgraded but would need to come back to us. The rest we are still working on.
  3. Send the map and logs through to [email protected] We will give it all a look over.
  4. 4.8.8 and 4.8.81 had problems on ecus with stepper motor idle control. Causing the ecu to not correctly exit bootmode. 4.8.82 has these issues resolved.
  5. Some functions must be set with the ECU powered up. This is due to the way the menory locations are assigned.

    Map Sensor

Bosch 5 bar can be used but will most likely require the use of a cal table.
  7. Coils have power while cranking?
  8. Hi Tim I have done some work on the GP pressure not showing however haven't found a solution yet. I will try to get hold of the original software engineer to see if a fix can be made. You could use the channel set as 0-5V input and then do you warning based on the correct voltage for a given pressure. As we are not tuners as such ill I can suggest with the accel is to keep trying different things. One of the dealers might be better able to assist. For the cold starting adding pre-crank prime will likely make a big difference. Most Toyotas like a lot of fuel for the initial crank. Â Â
  9. I would suggest spanning off ECT and road speed. If you put 100 in as opposed to 0 it will change the polarity
  10. If there were big differences then you could go to dual maps with an over lay. This would allow a manual switch of the main tables and still have a correction for variances in ethanol
  11. At this point I would suggest Roll back to 4.8.5 VTS http://www.vi-pec.com/software/VTS_V4-8-5_Setup.exe I assume it does it regardless of the map you have open? For the existing ECU's no need to upgrade unless you need a new feature or trying to solve a problem.

    ECU Identification

Hi It is a G1 LEM that is pre PC tuning. (handcontrol needed to tune) It is geared to work with a sequencer igniter. To run the 4 coils. I haven't been able to find any information on the wiring of the Igniter / Sequencer. My suggestion is it could be applied to the Legacy but you would likely be better starting with a later ECU (think G4 plugin) or at the very least getting this one firmware updated to V5 software and run wasted spark.
  13. Hi Tim if its working on the G2 and G3 plus there is no reason it shouldn't work on the LEM G3 Can you post or email the MAP you have? [email protected]
  14. The overlay is spanned with Fuel Temp and Ethanol % And of course a table each for fuel and ignition.
  15. There is no specific mode for this output. Only the GP PWM output.
  16. What version firmware and VTS are you on? This as far as I'm aware should never be missing. Are you running E throttle at all?
  17. Hi This is not an engine we have information on. If you have the ability to scope the trigger signals we will be able to advise on a suggested trigger mode and offer guidance on the VVt setup. Or if we are really luck one of the dealers might have done this and be able to advise better.
  18. Primary injectors on INJ1 and secondary on INJ2 Make sure if using low impedance injectors that ballast resistors are fitted.
  19. E Parrot and Sons in Christchurch do this sort of modification. Or have a search for instrumentation specialist in the yellow pages.
  20. 0.2mS is the minimum dead time and as such is also the shortest pulse width.
  21. Dave from D-tech in Tauranga has done some work in this area. However from memory the ECU need to be an Xtreme to give enough outputs to control all the solenoids
  22. The base maps vary, for example the V7 Subaru one is very good as it was developed on our own test car over a very long time. However some of the others were very quickly done just to prove all functions and the car ran at idle. The rule is to leave all the cold start corrections until the engine has had a full tune. And then adjust if needed.
  23. You can use a GP PWM output and span this off injector % and RPM. The pluse width can then be varied based on load. It is at a fixed frequency so might not work for all applications. Have no idea what would be needed as a reset signal.
  24. Good to hear you got a result.
