  1. Are you logging using PC or the onboard?
  2. It would be nice to run sequential but you can run in multi point group and just use the crank sensor as it stands. Â
  3. No as the problem lies with the ECU sequencing the second firing of the coils. If we had 10 ignition drives on the ECU it would be mint then we could run sequential. However we are limited to only 8 ignition drives.
  4. Trigger one must be crank sensor and trigger two is for the cam. The ECU will also require the matching subaru sub-board. A photo of the ECU with lid off will let us confirm it has the correct sub-board.

    Base repo

In that case it can be all you can drink!

Dave yet again you are spot on. Will have to get you over for a visit one day and the beers will be on us!
  7. Two small valves should be more than enough. Only guys I know using big valves will be up around the 1000Hp
  8. Oleg will now have all the info
  9. The way to tell is from the serial number of the ECU. Any ecu with a serial number greater than 10000 will support can. Under 10000 and it will need hardware mods done.
  10. Crank trigger is common to many applications. It will depend on the cam sensor type and teeth locations.

    More Tables

We do hear you. The catch is that adding tables is no small task. The memory allocation for tables was set at the very start of the building of the firmware. To add more will require almost a total re-wright of the firmware. It is something we hope to be able to offer but it will be a long time away.
  12. If I have got this correct currently there are two issues one the funs run when key is off. Second is the idle drops when fans come on. The Fans continuing to run when key is off is solved as Stevie pointed out by changing the relays to not have a supply when key is off. For the idle control this is not so easy to fix. Mainly as the fans are not being switched in there usual way. You would normally compensate with a Fan step % increase in the idle control menu.
  13. The auto mode is an improved closed loop wideband mode that has replaced the old wideband modes. Set to Auto and configure it to use closed loop wideband.
  14. Chances are one of our dealers will be better at setting this up than myself but. If you are able to post your current PCL file it will be a great help. And a bit of a run down on the car configuration. Ill then see if I can advise from there.
  15. Another area that can have an effect will be injector timing. (assuming you are running sequential) Not sure how much of an effect this will have.
  16. The best way is to use a frequency recording device and actually look at the frequency output from the sensor. However as a general rule the earlier model sensor will be first harmonic and later like year 2000 onwards tend to be second harmonic. If in doubt using a Bosch doughnut sensor all ways works.
  17. The supply to the sensor won't have any effect on the ECU or tune.
  18. Hi This is a VTS software issue that we have resolved in the latest VTS. This will be on the site very soon.
  19. If it can handle up to 18V then all you need is a battery supply (12-15Vish).
  20. If knock level goes over 150 it will count as an event. But it might not be knock if the level is too low. You need to do a run with a set of headphones to be sure its not knock and to get a base line.

    LS1 Coils

Trigger problems will normally show up as trigger errors in the Trig 1 error counter.
  22. Nissan When Vi-pec was launched we had nothing to do with the marketing / promotion of the product. We were purely the engineering and manufactures. As of a couple of months ago we have taken over the distribution, promotion and marketing. If there are areas that are still miss leading point me to them and I will get them tidied up. We know the perils of over promising or selling 'airware' we end up in topics such as this.

    LS1 Coils

I suspect if the coils have died it won't be from the launch control. As all this does is alter the point at which the coil is fired.

    Wiring

Yes the wiring can be extended if required. Good quality wire of correct sizing and good joins will be required. You can crimp or solder to make the joins but either way it will have to be a tidy quality join. Not cheep plastic crimp joiners like the local servo sell.
  25. You have traction control in the form of launch control. It is traction control but only during launch. Would also like to check where on the sight it suggests it has full traction control?
