really need to see a datalog and a CAL file , I expect it will be due to idle control set up /base idle postions.
-
G4 for the 34GTTPnP has only 3 ignition drivers so the ignition needs to be set to wasted spark.
change this back and re try starting the car , the trigger offset is good from cars we tuned on the G4 set up
-
are you running a BHP set up?
-
look on nicoclub website they have 370z workshop manuals with pin outs listed
-
MGV101 , I tuned a few RB with V cam and Link G4+/X, I had this issue before I wonder if you could try these set up/PIDS
Your PWM Output will be different , this car also had 12 tooth trigger on the crank (PRP) with no missing tooth , running a modified NZ Trigger Home trigger wheel.
Have you measured the air gap on the cam position sensor , cam cover retainers stock Nissan Items? tightened to bottom out on the cylinder head?
If you zero the cam control map do you still get the cam position output jumping around?
any questions fire away, good luck

We have a few HR running on link Thunder G4+ to allow us to control the throttles
see attached photo's of triggers and cam control stuff
for any wiring questions follow this link

all our car are FI , i can supply a tune if needed

Hi, Alex we can help you out, we run a Link in our 350Z race car and been tuning Link for 15+ years, in house dyno as well
send me a email to [email protected], I can help with any work remotely thou but these cars need tuning on a dyno to set the cams
Thanks

Hi , any one spent the time to sniffed BMW E92 canbus data? Will to pay for the information.
Thanks

The issue I had was in the code Haltech had updated something but it had caused other issues.

Hey abbey how did you get on getting the odo to work
Its was a issue with the Haltech Dash that Haltech sorted, something happening in the code

update , all working as it should @Adamw.
thanks

Adam thanks , log file from dash attached so you can see what is being logged.
Will try the confg file out and come back to you

The 4 wheel speeds are already broadcast in our standard Generic dash stream. But from memory with the SDL since it was sold as a low cost dash, motec placed many restrictions on its CAN capabilities, (many of which are not documented anywhere), Im struggling to remember all of them but im pretty sure there is a restriction that it can only receive the first 7 or 8 frames of a compound message. Can you check if Oil temp and Oil press is coming through.
We can possibly get around this by doing a custom stream at both ends that fits into 8 frames, or we could possibly break generic dash in half and send it as two 7 frame messages on two different ID's rather than its normal 14 frames on a single ID.
Adam,
It transmits everything on the Dash Can set up , I can see oil pressure and temp as you asked also can view knock so everything is being transmitted just not the 4 wheel speeds, the wheel speeds aren't shown in the logged list when setting up pages (very much like when viewing Link logs files , if it hasn't been logged it isn't listed)
The set up project for the Motec is attached.

I run a 350Z race car , running Xtreme G4X into SDL3 Motec dash everything working correctly but would like to log wheel speeds in the Motec Dash
Can I set up to output the wheel speeds from the Xtreme in the above channels , the ECU receives the wheels speeds via the 350Z canbus from the ABS ECU , ECU cal file attached
Thanks

Im assuming it is just Aux 5 that controls both the main and lift pump? I see there is another "NS Pump" but not sure if you wanted to include that in the pump out switch.
GP output 7 now controls the pump on aux 5, it will be active when the normal fuel pump strategy requests active, or when the pump out switch is on.
@Adamw thank you feel a embarrassed now to ask such a simple question , going to put it down to a friday feeling and my head is all burn't out after a busy week.
Yes NS fuel pump will need controlling via Dig Input but this is easy as this is already controlled via a GP Output
-
Trying to set up the ability to control the fuel pumps ( the main fuel pump and the lift pump) so we can drain the fuel tank with a switch (digital input) the ECU already controls to outputs that control both relays for the pumps , seems we cant double up the control of the fuel pumps relays ( ability to dual control auxiliary outputs) to allow switch to control fuel pumps without the engine running.
Current cal file attached

I see you have the DI2 pull-up resistor turned on, as far as I remember the Vcam sensor is a reluctor so this should be off.
yes that is correct

@Adamw thanks, yes always use Open Loop Lambda turned on , I have tuned plenty of cars both ways I have mentioned and not really seen much different , I do use the Open loop/AFR/Lambda Target overlay map to either add fuel per gear or add fuel against boost if I use Throttle versus RPM as both axis's.
-
Guys , so when tuning a RB with multi throttle bodies in Alpha N , do you configure the AFR/Lambda layout table with the same axis as the main fuel map= Throttle versus RPM or MAP versus RPM?
Just something I have thought about for a while.

Vq35HR eVTC
in G4x
supply is pulled from ECU control relay on the Nissan car which for the whole ECU control I think 15amp , the wiring isnt anything special regard to take high load

Can anyone help me out with the resting cam positions relative to crank position for this engine Intake & Exhaust when running please , so I can work out cam position when tuning the VVti
basically I would like the info on the Inlet cam position when fully retarded like below and the exhaust cam position fully advanced both these figures are when the cams are in the rest position
Like this but for a 3GSE engine
Link G4+ ecu not resetting the ECCS and coil pack relay earths on ignition off?

Bobby, car doesn't have a turbo timer fitted does it? strange as Adam says your can turn the car off with he keys but the relays stay on? With the car off , what voltage do you have at PIN 59?
