  1. Hi Shawn, Thanks for the update. Hopefully it is something simple in the end.
  2. Which G4 ECU do you have? On the RX, Storm and Xtreme there are two ports, the top one is the tuning port, the bottom one is the CAN/Serial port. Scott.
  3. Hi again, You have a couple of options. 1. Connect your DisplayLink to the CAN/Serial port of your ECU and set the DisplayLink up to use serial communication. This will work for you with no hardware changes. OR 2. Send your ECU and DisplayLink to us and we will perform the CAN upgrade on your ECU and also update the firmware on your DisplayLink. The cost to you would just be shipping. If you are interested in this please email [email protected] The firmware upgrade on your DisplayLink can not be done in the field, it must be returned to us. Scott
  4. Good news, pleased to hear you have it all sorted
  5. Good to hear the G4 is working well on your 4age. I would say in a couple of years, once you can start to pickup second hand 86's for a reduced price, more aftermarket products will be available.
  6. Hi Dadoulis, Yes the DisplayLink is compatible with G4 ECUs. It will work over serial with all models that have the serial/CAN connector. For it to work over CAN the ECU needs a serial number of greater than 10,000 and the DisplayLink needs to be on later firmware. You can find the DisplayLink documentation here http://www.linkecu.com/support/documentation/displaylink-documentation' target='_self' title=''> Cheers Scott
  7. Hi Ian, Can you please email your base-map to [email protected] and we will have a look for you. Cheers, Scott
  8. Hi Chris, The 86 is a great looking car, how are you enjoying it? Currently we have no immediate plans for developing a plug-in ECU. Cheers, Scott
  9. Hi Matthew, Adam is correct, there is currently a bug that occurs when a fuel pressure sensor is setup. However looking at your base-map you do not seem to have one setup. When you get a chance can you check what your wideband average reading is when this is happening (analog tab of run time values, accessed by pressing F12). Also can you tell me what AFR wideband 1 is reading (also on the analog tab) when the fault is happening. Cheers, Scott
  10. Good to hear you are making progress on this, Look forward to hearing how you go on the dyno. Scott
  11. Great news! It is certainly worth having a wideband sensor connected.
  12. Hi Havy, Just had a quick look at your base-map. Try lowering your dwell table times. At normal operating voltages (13 to 14v) I would have thought a 4ms dwell time would be more suitable. Let us know how that goes, Scott
  13. Hi Matt, You can run your factory ignitor, no problems. Scott

If you email [email protected] we can give you pricing information on the trigger sub-board. Yes, if you can get some photos showing the inside of the ECU, and also clearly showing the numbers on the chips we can advise you more about the ECU. If it is PC tunable you will need an interface like the SerialLink to connect your laptop to the ECU. Cheers, Scott

Hi Charly, The ECU will require a trigger sub-board change to suit the RB. We have the RB sub-boards in stock, so can carry out the change. Do you know if the ECU is PC tunable? Scott
  16. Hi Mathew, As the LC-1 Â feeds an analgue output to the ECU, the best earth to use would be the sensor ground, on your ECU this is pin 30 or 50. Cheers, Scott
  17. Hi Gustaf, The earliest mention of CAN that I can find is in firmware version 4.8.0, however improvements have been made since then, so I recommend running the latest release version, 4.9.3 ECUs with serial numbers greater than 10000 are CAN enabled, this is not just a firmware change, In the G4 range the RX, Storm and Xtreme are capable of CAN. For ECUs with a serial number of less than 10000 the ECU can be returned to us and we can perform the upgrade. Yes, a G3 plus running G4 firmware is capable of having the upgrade performed. Cheers, Scott.
  18. Good morning Jasper, Unfortunately your ECU will not drive the LPG injectors directly. Our experience and feedback to us has been that the injector drivers in our ECUs are not capable of driving the LPG injectors. The exception is the Silver G4 Xtreme which has peak and hold injector drivers. Scott
  19. Hi Gustaf, Yes, you can have your dash connected over CAN and PCLink connected at the same time.

    On-board scope

Hi Gustaf, This is good feature, and is available on some of our Vi-PEC premium ECUs. Cheers, Scott
  21. Hi Brad, No, this is not currently possible. I can understand why you would want this, as it can be confusing when you have multiple GP inputs or outputs set up. I will add your suggestion to the wishlist. Cheers, Scott.
  22. Hi David, PCLink 4.9.3 comes with a base-map for the ST185. Most of the base-maps that come with PCLink are  for stock engines and only designed to help setup the engine. You could possibly use this base-map as a starting point. You can download PCLink 4.9.3 and check out the base-map. You would need to either change your inputs and outputs to suit the base-map, or change the base-map to suit your inputs and outputs. Scott
  23. Hi Fredde, I have answered you in the other thread also: It sounds like some of your layouts may have been corrupted. If you re-install PCLink the layouts directory does not get overwritten, this is why just re-installing PCLink will not fix the problem. You will need to delete the whole PCLink directory and then re-install PCLink. Give that a try and let me know if it now works for you, Scott

  25. Sounds like a good plan. Have you had the ECU running ignition before? Let us know how it goes. Cheers, Scott
