twhite84 Posted January 29, 2020 Report Posted January 29, 2020 Hello, I recently wired and installed an oil pressure and oil temp sensor to my link g4+ TALT+ ecu. Specifically this oil temp sensor - https://www.nzefi.com/product/bosch-engine-oil-temperature-sensor/ . Just a standard Bosch ev1 type. Anyhow, I setup the calibration table (cal table 1) per the instructions and wired one of the wires to the AN temp 3 ecu pin and the other the sensor ground. However, I am not getting any changes in value through pclink while the engine is running. The oil pressure sensor works perfecting fine. Is there something I am missing here? Any thoughts on this would be appreciated. I have attached a copy of the pclr file that I am currently using if that helps. Thanks, Terrance +5 and new Sensors.pclr Quote
Adamw Posted January 30, 2020 Report Posted January 30, 2020 It looks like your set up is all ok. Can you get a multimeter and measure resistance between ecu pin Q14 and one of the grounds - say O18 Quote
twhite84 Posted February 3, 2020 Author Report Posted February 3, 2020 Thank you for the response. So I went ahead and checked the resistance at the ecu pins as indicated. Resistance was fine. Then I noticed that I had the signal wire installed into pin Q15 and not Q14, as it should've been. Swapped pins and voila, working oil temp sensor. Thank you for pointing me in the right direction.
