JayKay
Hi I have just wired in some r8 coilpacks on my 2jz. I've checked pin one is receiving a strong 12volts and Pin 2 and 4 have good continuity to ground. Struggling to get any sort of spark on the ignition test feature on the ecu. Is there something im missing that could be causing this issue?
Brad Burnett
Did you bypass the stock ignitor?

Brad Burnett
All 2jz from the factory had an ignitor.

Ah crap I'm going to have to find that and delete it. No idea where it is. The 2jz is in a E46. Thanks Brad!

Connect the "input" wires to the "output" wires. HollywoodJackson

I have the 2JZ-GE installed in a 240sx. I am making a custom harness from scratch. I do have the old is300 harness that came with the engine, but its chopped up at this point. Can I run the signal wire from the SupraLink pin outs directly to each coil and then back out the coil to ground? Adamw
If you have fitted smart coils as per the subject of this thread then yes. If you still have factory dumb coils then no, it will need an ignitor between ecu and coils. HollywoodJackson
